Tomorrow’s Teachers

31 May 2020

I definitely recommend taking Tomorrow’s Teachers for anyone who wants to become a

teacher. I was unsure if I wanted to take this class at first because I knew that it was going to be a

lot of work, but I am really happy that I did. I think that no one should even question taking this

class because it really is a great experience. My advice would be to make sure you keep all of the

work that you do in this class because it is something that really can be used in the future. Papers

from this class are something that you don’t want to get rid of because they are all crucial to

have. My second piece of advice is to teach as many lessons as you can because time flies by.

Personally, my situation was different since I only got to have three months in the classroom

however I still wish that I was able to teach more lessons. This class is very rewarding because

the effort that you put in will show through how successful your lessons are. It is important to

always be prepared because you need to make sure you have everything you need for your lesson

and so that if the lesson isn’t going as planned you have a backup. Another piece of advice I have

is to get to know the students during the first week that you start to go to the school. You want to

be able to get to know each student as it will help you understand as a teacher their skill levels

and which ones are more academically advanced. I taught in a preschool classroom where I

didn’t have too many students so I was able to really get to know each student. I really wish that
I had more time in the classroom to spend time with the kids and grow as a teacher, however I

am very thankful for the time I did get and the things I learned.
