Stay Wild
A Poem by MS MOEM

I was not born a statue

Nor rooted like a tree
I was born a wild one;
A spirit pure and free

No cage should hold me captive

No title should define
I’m flexible and fluid
So I can change at any time

With nothing set in stone

And so much to explore
I’m wandering down a million paths
And rattling every door

Never stop adventuring

Embracing my inner child
Stay fearless and stay curious
Stay positive. Stay wild.

Analysis:
This poem is about staying “wild”. Wild as in being free and happy and
doing things like there’s no limit. This poem is a reminder for those who
are starting to lose themselves in their jobs, in their works, in their daily
activities, or in life.
The character is a wild one. She is free and strong-willed. She do what
she wants to do and say what she wants to say. She is certain that her
spirit is pure and free.

She hates when something or someone is holding her back from doing
what she wanted to do. She always thinks that the things that she
achieved or didn’t achieve can’t describe her as an individual. Things
like titles and achievements are things that often caused her feeling
trapped. So, she tries to be flexible and not set in one thing.

She’s open to everything. There are just too much exciting things in life
to abandon, so she likes to adventure and try new things. She never stays
in her comfort zone and she’s never afraid to take opportunities.

She never stops adventuring and always embracing her inner child. She
is still the little girl that cried because of the smallest things, she is still
the teenage girl that did stupid things in the past. She just grows and be
better. And she always thinks to herself, “Stay fearless, stay curious.
Stay positive, and stay wild.”
