This assignment is 15% of your final grades. Read it several times before starting an attempt.

It is the year 2050, and you are in your 50's. Looking at the 4th and 5th industrial revolution and
contemplating what could be the 6th industrial revolution - describe what and how you envisage :

1. New building designs to be or look like (Technology)

2. Architecture education to transform into (Pedagogy)

3. Architectural practice to sustain and survive (Professional Practice)

In 1 A4 (portrait), using Calibri size ten font - divide the A4 into 2 rows and 2 columns. In the first 3 cells,
describe 1 - 3 as stated above, each in 1 cell, and in your 4th cell summarize what you think and feel
architecture will be in 2050. This assignment will check on your reference readings (you must provide a
minimum of 1 relevant book or e-book ; 4 relevant journal articles ; and 4 authentic web sites)

This assignment will require critical thinking and original views from you which are backed up from your
readings. Do not put your names just type in your matric number. On the second page I require a list of
your references and web sites etc.

This assignment is given (OUT) via elearning on 9th April and it is due (IN) on 16 th April at 12 noon via elearning
submission. Similar views between friends will be penalized as I require one which is originally yours. Late
submission will be penalized. Do not submit more text than the required A4. If you want to include graphics or
pictures – you can do so on your reference list page. I will not bother to look at a 3rd page.

Rubrics : In depth readings and critical analysis esp in Malaysian or International context on the future of
architecture.
