2. UNRAVELING THE MYSTERY OF GENERAL KNOWLEDGE.

 The General Knowledge segment in the 2016 examination will comprise of both current affairs and static GK . In
recent times, there are equal number of questions asked from static GK and current affairs.
 Hence be prepared to tackle questions from both areas.
 General Knowledge is one area that calls for systematic preparation, well in advance. One has to devote substantial
time for cramming information. So, start your preparation for general knowledge now! Work on MCQs on general
knowledge from popular websites and magazines rather than reading up on GK information, as time is too short now for
extensive reading!

3. LEGAL APTITUDE – THE MOST DECISIVE SECTION.

 Legal Aptitude section of the CLAT has gained prominence in the last couple of years, primarily because the score
obtained in this section is one of the tie-breakers in case more than one student gets the same score.

 In the recent years, the focus of this section has been predominantly the legal reasoning type of questions. This type of
questions is ideal, as it helps test the reasoning skills of a candidate. However, CLAT 2015 had a fair share of legal
awareness type of questions as well.

 We strongly recommend that students prepare for both legal reasoning as well as legal awareness, thus ensuring that
nothing goes out of hand.

 Legal Reasoning does not call for extensive preparation, as one needs to only master the art of logical application of
principle(s) in the given situation. Legal awareness is more akin to G.K. and one needs a thorough knowledge of basic
legal concepts as well as current legal developments.

4. COPING WITH ENGLISH AND MATHEMATICS

 Both the sections are generally predictable in the CLAT. However, scoring will largely depend on student’s strong
foundation and rigorous practice in these two areas. Speed is the key element. Practising questions from these two
subjects on a daily basis with the help of a timer will pay rich dividends in the examination.

5. DECODING LOGIC
 A cool temperament, an uncluttered mind, good language skills and analytical bent of mind will ensure a good score in
this section. Exposure to a wide variety of problems from critical reasoning will help to breeze through this section.

6. PRACTICE HOLDS THE KEY

 The twin weapons that students need to unleash for sure success in CLAT are speed and accuracy. To attain gain these
two skills one needs to put in loads of practice.
 Workout questions from CLAT papers and NLU – Delhi Papers (2008 -2015).
 Take as many subject wise tests and full length mocks, this will help you manage your time well in the CLAT.

7. LITTLE DROPS MAKE AN OCEAN!

 Don’t rely on the last one month preceding the exam for your preparation. Start, right away! Agreed, most of you,
would be juggling your Board exam preparation with CLAT, but try to squeeze in about 60 minutes of preparation every
day.
 You will thank yourself later for the substantial effort you put in at this point of time.

8. STRONG MOTIVATION WILL KEEP YOU IN TOP FORM

 It is challenging but not impossible to crack CLAT.
