Step by Step Install Exchange 2013 CU15

ad.msdlab.xyz (Domain Controller)

IP: 192.168.80.3

ex1.msdlab.xyz (Exchange Server Node 1)

IP: 192.168.80.11

ex2.msdlab.xyz (Exchange Server Node 2)

IP: 192.168.80.12
Install AD
We feel that the domain controller is not so importance, but in real world it is a central location
for users authentication, without a domain controller we cannot install almost Microsoft Software.
Like Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 CU15, is needed a domain controller functional level.

Windows Server 2012 R2

Functional Level 2012R2
Add Feature “Domain Controller”
Run “dcpromo”
Put domain example “msdlab.local”

Install Exchange Node 1

Install Windows Server Feature
For Server 2012 R2
After joint domain, you must log in to domain administrator (MSDLAB\Administrator)
Open “PowerShell” and run the following command to install windows server feature
# Import-Module ServerManager

# Install-WindowsFeature AS-HTTP-Activation, Desktop-Experience, NET-Framework-45-

Features, RPC-over-HTTP-proxy, RSAT-Clustering, RSAT-Clustering-CmdInterface, RSAT-Clustering-Mgmt,
RSAT-Clustering-PowerShell, Web-Mgmt-Console, WAS-Process-Model, Web-Asp-Net45, Web-Basic-
Auth, Web-Client-Auth, Web-Digest-Auth, Web-Dir-Browsing, Web-Dyn-Compression, Web-Http-Errors,
Web-Http-Logging, Web-Http-Redirect, Web-Http-Tracing, Web-ISAPI-Ext, Web-ISAPI-Filter, Web-Lgcy-
Mgmt-Console, Web-Metabase, Web-Mgmt-Console, Web-Mgmt-Service, Web-Net-Ext45, Web-
Request-Monitor, Web-Server, Web-Stat-Compression, Web-Static-Content, Web-Windows-Auth, Web-
WMI, Windows-Identity-Foundation, Server-Media-Foundation, RSAT-ADDS

# Set-Service NetTCPPortsharing -startuptype Automatic

After that we need to reboot the server

Install Pre-Requisite for Exchange Server

For Server 2012 R2
DOT_NET_FRAMEWORK_4.5.2_WIN2K8R2_NDP452-KB2901907-x86-x64-AllOS-ENU
Microsoft Office 2010 FilterPack64bit
Microsoft Office 2010 FilterPack64bit Service Pack 1
UcmaRuntimeSetup

After installed that package, we need to reboot the server

Prepare Active Directory and Schema
For Server 2012 R2
We can Prepare the Schema and AD by run the following command below in CMD as
Administrator
To run the command, we need to go to exchange setup directory
For Example, Your Exchange setup file is in Desktop of Domain Administrator
# cd C:\Users\Administrator.MSDLAB\Desktop\Exchange2013CU15

Then you run below command

# Setup.exe /PrepareAD /IAcceptExchangeServerLicenseTerms /OrganizationName MSDLAB
# Setup.exe /PrepareSchema /IAcceptExchangeServerLicenseTerms

After complete, we must reboot server once.

Install Exchange Server 2013 CU15 Node 1
For Server 2012 R2
Configure Send Connector
Go to “mail flow” -> “send connectors” -> “New”
Put Send Connector Name “SMTP-Out” and “Type=Internet” -> FQDN “*” for all domain name.
Add Accepted Domain

After save, you need to re-open “msdlab.xyz” accepted domain again and click on
“Make this the default domain”

Configure Email Address Policy

Do this all email will be change from “@msdlab.local” to “@msdlab.xyz”

Then Apply it.

Install Exchange Node 2
Install Windows Server Feature
For Server 2012 R2
After joint domain, you must log in to domain administrator (MSDLAB\Administrator)

After that we need to reboot the server

After installed that package, we need to reboot the server

After complete, we must reboot server once.

For Server 2012 R2

Configure Virtual Directory
