1. INTRODUCTION

This instruction explains how to replace Extension 1 boards on ARCA and ARCA II controllers
with Extension 1 boards from ARCA III controllers.

2. REPLACING ARCA EXT1

To replace ARCA EXT1 (5124036) with ARCA III EXT1 (5124430):
1. Release connectors J1 and JP2 and connect to connectors J1 and J2 on the new

board.
2. Where present, release connectors J5 and JP3 and connect to connectors J5

and J5 on the new board.
ATTENTION
Connectors J2 are J3 rotated 180º in relation to connectors JP2 and JP3, and

therefore when they are connected on the new board, the cables are rotated.
Release connector J4 and join the connector’s cables to the terminal on the

right (on J4-1).
4. Connect connector J4 to connector J4 on the new board.

ATTENTION
Connector J4 on the new board has 3 terminals instead of 2. Leave the left terminal
free and connect the connector to the two terminals on the right (J4-2 y J4-3).

5. Configure SW1 switches on the new board as a function of the position of the
SW1 selector on the old board according to the following table:

J4 and J5 on the new board.
