Rules for 3 person singular (he- she - it)
 Verbs ending in –o, -ch, -sh, -ss, -x, -z, we add -es to
the verb.

Examples: go/goes, teach/teaches, wash/washes,


kiss/kisses, fix/fixes, buzz/ buzzes.

 Verbs eding in consonant + –y, we change –y by -


ies.

Examples: try/tries, carry/carries, marry/marries,


cry/cries -she cries all the time-

 Verbs ending in vowel + -y, we just add –s as usual.

Examples: play/plays, enjoy/enjoys, buy/buys, say/says
