If you already have a licensed version of Uconeer on this computer and your purchase date was before July
2017 then installing this version will invalidate your license. Ensure that you have a backup of your previous
install file and license file before installing version 3.5 so that you can revert to the previous version if you need
to.

If you purchased your Uconeer license on or after July 1, 2017 then installing version 3.5 will update your
licensed version to version 3.5.

If you previously only had a trial version of Uconeer version 3.4 or earlier, or if you have never installed Uconeer
on this computer, then proceeding with this installation will give you the 30 day trial version of Uconeer 3.5.

Uconeer has over 450 units in 48 categories. It covers all the basic categories but adds engineering specific
categories like enthalpy, entropy, heat capacity, heat transfer coefficient, moment of inertia, stress, surface
tension, thermal conductivity, torque and viscosity. Up to 5 custom units can be added in each category. Custom
units can be exported, imported and merged for easy distribution. Frequently used conversions can be set as
favorites for instant access. Converts feet, inches and fractions to and from decimal lengths. Converts between
dynamic and kinematic viscosity. Converts between volumetric and mass flow rate for liquids and gases. Gas
Constant in 900 sets of units, plus custom units. Comprehensive steel hardness equivalents. Calculator for
Reynolds number, velocity and flowrate in pipes. Interface is kept simple by exclusion of all archaic and esoteric
units. Powerful formatting and clipboard features. Fully functional 30 day evaluation version.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

This program is distributed as a single zipped file with the name Uconeer.zip.

Copy the ZIP file to a temporary directory (folder) and unzip it into the same folder. This will produce two files - The
ReadMe.rtf file and the Uconeer_Setup.exe installation file.

Run the Uconeer_Setup.exe file by double clicking it. This will install the program into the
\Program Files (x86)\Uconeer directory, although you can select a different directory if you prefer to install it
somewhere else.

After installation the program will appear in your menu structure as Start | Programs | Uconeer and the Uconeer
icon will appear on your desktop.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

The program is virtually self evident to use, but instructions are available by selecting Help from the menu or
pressing F1 when the program is running.

LICENSE CONDITIONS

Uconeer is copyrighted commercial software. The try-before-you-buy evaluation version can be freely distributed.
The evaluation version has all the functionality of the full version, but it will function for only 30 days after
installation.

This Software is provided "as-is" without warranty of any kind. The author and distributors disclaim all warranties
and shall not be liable for any damages of any kind, direct or consequential. If you don't agree with this, or if this
type of agreement is not allowed in your area, then you may not use this software.

Uconeer is available in 4 different license forms, depending on the number of users in each case.

a) Single User License


This license is issued to an individual person and not to a specific computer. This means that it can be used by that
person on several computers, provided that it is not used on more than one computer at a time. This allows you to
install it onto your desktop computer and your laptop computer with the purchase of one single user license.

b) Site License
This license is issued to a company or organization for use at a single location, and covers all the computers
installed at that location regardless of the number of computers, provided they all belong to the licensed company or
organization. It will also include any mobile computers used by staff who are normally based at that location and
any staff who are temporarily seconded to another location, for example engineers who are deployed to a
construction site for the duration of the project.

c) Enterprise License (Global License)


This license is issued to a company or organization for use globally at all locations, and covers all the computers
belonging to the licensed company or organization.

d) Regional License
Regional licenses are negotiated on an ad hoc basis where none of the three options above are suitable.
PURCHASING UCONEER

Uconeer is distributed as a try-before-you-buy evaluation version. There is no cost for the evaluation version and it
allows you to test the full functionality of Uconeer on your own computer and in your own environment for 30 days.
When you purchase Uconeer you will receive a password file by email which will convert the evaluation version to
the full version.

Uconeer is available in 4 different license forms - single user license, site license, enterprise license and regional
license. At the time of writing the prices are USD 29.95, USD 249.00 and USD 1999.00 respectively for the first 3
options and negotiated individually for regional licenses, but please visit the online page at
https://www.katmarsoftware.com/uconeer.htm to confirm up-to-date prices.

When you click on the purchasing link on the Uconeer web page you will be taken you to the Uconeer order
processing (“shopping cart”) page at BMT Micro. This is a secure web-page where you can safely enter your credit
card number and other personal details. However, if you prefer not to enter this type of data on a web page you will
be given the option of placing your order by fax or telephone. Please just follow the links once you get to the order
processing page.

BMT Micro also have options for paying by wire transfer and purchase order. These options are regularly improved
and expanded. Please go to the order processing page to review all the other options.

If none of these ordering procedures suits your needs please feel free to contact us to discuss alternative
arrangements.

Whichever method you choose for ordering and payment, you will be emailed a password file (registration code)
which will convert the evaluation version into the full registered version. This password will work with all upgrades of
Uconeer that are released within 12 months of the date of your purchase.

DISTRIBUTION

The evaluation version of Uconeer may be distributed via disk, CD, web site or any other medium. No charge may
be made for the supply of the evaluation version to anyone. If you were charged for your evaluation copy, please let
us know. When distributing this program, please distribute it as the single ZIP file containing the Uconeer_Setup.exe
and ReadMe.rtf files.
