A printing press is a form of machine that applies pressure between an

inked surface and a print medium. A long handle is used to turn a heavy
wooden screw, exerting downward pressure against the paper which was
laid over the type mounted on a wooden platen. With the use of printing
press, books, pamphlets, newspapers, journals and alike were produced.
Printing press empowered a quick, cheap and easy distribution of
information.
