    A character is a person, animal, or creature in a literary work, which can be major or minor. Characterization is the technique authors use to develop characters, such as describing appearance, using dialogue, revealing thoughts and actions, or showing how others perceive the character, in order to make them come alive in the story. An author can characterize figures through description, dialogue, revealing inner thoughts, showing how others see them, depicting their actions, and using descriptive adjectives.

    CHARACTERIZATION

    What is the difference between  A character is a person, an


    character and characterization? animal, or an imaginary
    creature that takes part in

    work. There may be major
    and minor characters in a
    work. Characters that
    change little, if at all, are
    called static characters.
    Characters who change
    significantly are called
    dynamic characters.

    create and develop
    characters. This makes the
