1. The document describes the design of a circuit to convert 0-250 amp current from a main line to 0-5 amps using a current transformer and then to voltage using a rectifier and resistor.
2. It assumes a typical output of 2-3 amps from the current transformer, which would correspond to 100-150 amps on the main line.
3. A bill of materials is provided listing the components needed including a diode rectifier, 5 ohm 50 watt resistor, 7805 voltage regulator IC, TIP3055 transistor, connectors and a PCB board.

1. H-CT005-24D converts 0-250 Ampere current to 0-5A.
2. Assumption: Typical usage detection 2-3A in output of H-CT005-24D (100-150A on main line) 3. The 2-3A output from current transformer connected to rectifier. The function of rectifier is to change AC to DC current. 2-3 Ampere of DC current converted to 10-15VDC by 5 Ohm Resistor. Minimum Wattage of the resistor must use maximum current multiplied by Voltage. For this design: Maximum current detection: 3A Maximum Voltage: 3A*5Ohm = 15VDC Maximum Wattage: 3A*15VDC = 45Watt. Resistor must use >45Wattage Resistor. 4. IC7805 is used for regulate voltage to 5VDC. Maximum of its input is 25VDC. 5. TIP3055 is used for amplify current of IC7805 output. So the maximum current of the circuit vary between 2-3A. (Same as input current)
I design it with no external battery source. So you can easily clip it to the main line and use the output voltage from your current transformer to your device (for example: your phone)
