Welcome to my English class! I used word art by writing on the whiteboard, “Welcome to Ms. Popp’s English class!” I’ve

included a chromebook cart at the front of the class so that I can easily monitor it and there is a chromebook on each student’s desk.

When I become a teacher, I’ve seen that it’s helpful to make sure the chromebooks are numbered and that student’s are assigned by

numbers so that none come up missing. My desk is in the corner at the front of the class and I’ve incorporated color by hanging

different English class posters on the wall. My classroom door is also at the front near the whiteboard. I used textboxes to label each

thing and I used geometric objects such as lines to create a classroom from your point of view. As you can see, many students are

absent. Chronic absenteeism is a huge issue in the Clark County School District. Some students may be ditching, are tardy, or sick,

etc. I wanted to give a realistic representation of today’s reality in the classroom and I also designed my classroom to look as modern

as can be. I hope to assist the school district in making sure that my students look forward and love coming to school.
