INTRODUCTION

In this document are related the activities of Unit 1: Activity 2- Writing Task. In which every
Student must build different sentences according to the topics seen, the student will
construct this with the support of the E-Tutor and e-students. Through this exercise, the
student will recognize and ownership the contents of the unit 1 in the online contents,
their environment and the context to express themselves according to their level, practice
the concepts of compound Adjectives, present progressive and modal verbs.

II. PHASE TWO - Collaborative

In group, look at the following picture and write about it.

1. Where is it? (Place, city…) (include in the sentences the compound adjectives)
2. What can you do there? (include in the sentences the present progressive)
3. Who are they?
4. What are they doing? (present progressive)
5. What did they do yesterday?
6. What are they planning to do tomorrow?
Give a name to each person in the picture.
Describe each one of them (personality and appearance).

DEVELOPING
1. Where is it? (Place, city…) (include in the sentences the compound adjectives)
Mauricio, Claudia, Alvaro and Pahola, are doing the themed trail activity in Maloca de los
Vientos, which is located in the upper part of the pommel via paradise paradise in cerrito
valle, enjoying the wonderful landscape of our region.

2. What can you do there? (include in the sentences the present progressive)
In this spectacular two-story viewpoint and adventure sports park of the Colombian South-
West, you can do 9 adventure sports as you can also appreciate the landscape while enjoying
a hot drink or while others do some activity.

3. Who are they?

They are a group of young tourists and sportsmen in search of adventures, who explore other
places to practice adrenaline sports.

4. What are they doing? (present progressive)

Young people are enjoying a themed trail hike in the beautiful mountainous area of Valle del
Cauca right now.

5. What did they do yesterday?

Exchange culture with other people in this region, made a small tour of the different sports
activities and sought accommodation.

6. What are they planning to do tomorrow?

Tomorrow they will perform 5 of the 9 adventure sports, including 3 of the ones they like the
most: Canopy, Tibetan Bridges and Rappel.

Mauricio, Claudia, Alvaro and Pahola walk the thematic path, Alvaro goes with a red, white shirt
and pints of brown coffee and short brown jean. He is very happy to observe the beautiful nature
of Valle del Cauca with his friend Pahola, she is dressed in a green and white plaid shirt and
wears brown shorts, she is excited about these wonders, Claudia her friend, has a blue blouse
with long green sleeves and a jean, she is so surprised just like her friend Mauricio, for the
beauty of the place, she wears a briefcase and carries binoculars in her hand, he is dressed in a
short jean and a green plaid shirt And he is happy with the company of his friends and the beauty
of this place.

(Is it fantasy, biography, drama, comedy, science fiction,

Synopsis (400 words) In 1981, in San Francisco, Chris Gardner

(Will Smith) invests his lifetime savings in
portable bone density scanners that he tries
to demonstrate and sell to doctors. The
investment turns out to be a failure, which
leaves the family bankrupt and, as a result,
his wife Linda (Thandie Newton) leaves
him and moves to New York. His son
Christopher (Jaden Smith) stays with his
father. Trying to sell one of the scanners in
the center, Chris meets Jay Twistle (Brian
Howe). This meeting opens the possibility
of opting for a position as a stockbroker, a
job for which he and 19 other competitors
fight. Chris develops a number of ways to
make phone sales more efficiently and also
gets potential and valuable customers,
challenging the protocol. A friendly
potential customer takes him and his son to
a San Francisco football game. Despite his
problems, Chris never reveals his state of
helplessness to his coworkers, even going
so far as to give one of his bosses five
dollars for a taxi, a sum he cannot afford.
At the end of the internship, Chris meets
with his managers. His work has paid off
and he is offered the job. Struggling to hold
back her tears, she rushes to her son's
daycare and hugs him. They walk down the
street, joking with each other while a man
in a business suit (the real Chris Gardner in
a cameo) passes by. The epilogue reveals
that Chris finally created his own multi-
million dollar brokerage firm.

S1. (Francisco Arregui) I learned that in
any circumstance in life to overcome the
obstacles, we need our perseverance and
obtuseness to achieve your goals.

How did the film make you feel? S1. (Francisco Arregui) It made me feel
very nostalgic and sad, for all the extreme
circumstances that the protagonist and his
son went through, all the rejection and
humiliation they received from many
people.
S1. (Francisco Arregui) he becomes similar
in the way he creates initiative, he believes
in what he does and never defeats himself
How does the movie relate to the academic program you are in the face of adversity, he takes his project
studying? to every opportunity he sees, he makes his
abilities his only opportunity to get out of
every obstacle there is either in his life as in
his work

CONCLUSION

Thanks to the review of unit one, the activity can be developed by clearly understanding the
correct way to apply grammar concepts and the correct way to use compound adjectives.
