Less Wamd
Less Wamd
Me: Yup Yup. I have learned a lot about myself from the last decade. Ihave made mistakes and
reflected on them from the past years, and apply what I learn. New decade new me.
Me:
Hi AHN.
I have been lurking for a few months now, but as the economy start to slowly open again this
look like a perfect time to introduce myself.
My name is Alex, and I've been in the biotech field for 7 years tackling issues in food allergies
and vision loss. I brought to market the first gluten and peanut food sensor that allowed people to
test restaurant dishes right then and there in 5 minutes or less. Now I’m in gene therapy trying to
solve wAMD.
But my side hustle is photography, and like most photographer it started as a hobby. It started
when I grew frustrated with acrylic painting, and believed, at the time, photography is so much
easier. Started out have been practicing and honing my skills for a few years now
Like most photographers, I started photography as a hobby. The instant gratification of making
people happy through my photographs eventually lead me to shoot weddings. In 2016, I worked
a full-time analytics job at Yahoo! while shooting 35+ weddings. That's when I realized I was
starting to half-ass both jobs, so a decision had to be made: quit the full-time stable job, or take
the leap into running the business full-time. While it was a hard decision to make, in the end,
nothing could compete with where my heart wanted to be.
Life has been ever-changing since then and I'm looking forward to meeting other amazing
individuals and learning more about you guys. Thanks for reading!
