Also, to verify and ensure that the = communication system is working properly and that emergency equipment are in place. shall be responsible to maintain first aid facilities at site. 5.0 METHODOLOGY: The format of the Pipe book shall be duly filled by JSIW and clearance obtained from CEIL/IIPL/GIGL at three stages as indicated below. PART-A. This part of clearance shall be obtained for lowering of pipe string into the trench. JSIW shall submit to CEIL/IIPL/GIGL for checking at least one/two day in advance. JSIW shall verify every pipe data like pipe no., Heat No., Coating no., Length ete. in accordance with the MASTER PIPE LIST in an excel file, generated from delivery Challan supplied by pipe supplier. This excel file shall be linked with pipe book. When pipe number shall be entering in pipe book as per inspection reports, same shall be verified by MASTER PIPE LIST (Tally sheet) to avoid the duplication of pipe number. JSIW shall provide the pipe book with respected engineer before starting the activity of lowering. Part B Pipe Log Book will be completed and duly verified the mechanical clearance certificate before Final Hydrostatic-testing. All data for the Pipe Log Book should be collected on basis of quality forms, Inspection reports, and other documents duly verified and approved by the CEIL/IIPL/GIGL. JSIW shall submit to CEIL/IIPL/GIGL for checking at least five to ten days in advance. The pipebook & Progress reporting ETC. shall be generated through PIMS system. The contractor will perform completed, detailed, up to date control of all items of the pipeline construction using Pipe Log Book will consist of two parts. © First part will consist of all detailed information, required for hydro-testing each pipeline to be tested. © Second part will include detailed records of all items of the construction, including elements of terminals, valve and scrapper stations. © All columns of the Pipe Book shall be filled by JSIW based on the daily inspection reports signed by the representatives of CEIL & IIPL/GIGL. Any remarks given in the inspection report shall be reflected / incorporated accordingly in the Pipe log Book. © In the Pipe log Book listing, the pipes considered for a joint are the one shown against the joint number and the next preceding pipe number. © Pipe book shall be generated through PIMS system. Electrical leads and connections shall be inspected for signs of damage or wear, and repaired or replaced accordingly.
