Synopsis:

Our Group 4 tried to thematically make a process model and show how process model is effective taking
different exemplary cases to show how the business process model is formed and helped the
organizations to make the work done in a smooth handed manner.

Business Process mapping is one of the most crucial technique when we thematically conceptualize the
process in each step by step way in order to establish a certain process model or to design in effectual
way so, that the process gets streamlined and the consistency gets maintained.

Why Business Process model?

Business Process model helps to make work flow process smooth.

Business Process model maintains consistency in the process and reduces the inefficiency and
synchronizes all process units to act timely.

Use of flow charts and other thematic business process models like illustrations charts, Statistical and
Informational Process charts make work faster and along with that the communication becomes more
effective.

Documentation of the business processes in an organization becomes easier and standardization is


maintained. Tacit tribal Knowledge which is just on the minds gets transformed to transcribed
documented knowledge

Business system requirements can be easily seen and met, and in accordance with it the works can be
done.

Business process model helps to align with the IT (Infrastructures' & Technology) model to reduce cyclic
redundancies, to communicate with a well-built platform and to address the queries of clients in a
smooth manner.

Quality of the conversations is extremely essential so, that we do not lose the useful content being
shared of and also, we need to maintain engagements on several level, moreover it is always a challenge
to maintain the accuracy and objectivity of the data; this all is not possible without the business process
model development.

Transparency and accountability are a most and business process mapping acts as guide in order to
check and balance step by step.
Let’s see how a pizza company gets all the benefit from a business process mapping and model
development. For Gary’s Pizza; we tried to do the process mapping in order to make the quality pizza
delivered to the customer on time.

The first step for the Pizza shop is to get an order whereas the first step for the customer is to select and
ask for the pizza and choose the type along with the variety of toppings being offered and then pay for
the pizza and mention the delivery address so, that the pizza gets delivered right at the doorsteps of the
customer or if customer is physically present then giving the pizza right at the counter.

The problem with the Gary’s Pizza is;

They have the required resources but on time they couldn’t find it.

Sometimes the base doesn’t get delivered and the Gary’s shop have to wait long.

Sometimes the kitchen staffs come late and delay in pizza making occurs.

Sometimes the oven gets stuffed with the other pizza orders and the later customer have to wait for
long. This will bring a frustrated, angry, disgruntled tendency on the later customers.

Let us see the process development model that we formed for the Gary’s Pizza and briefly explain about
the process model and how this model helped Gary’s.
