DESIGN BRIEF

Relevance
I will make an old shirt to be wearable again and my client can use it for fashion too. And this solution
will make my client have to go buy a new shirt because they can turn an old shirt to be a brand new
shirt and wearable again. When they wear their clothes will look brand new, but actually it is an old
shirt that they mix with the chemical to make it look aesthetics.

Product Features:
I will make tie-dye clothing. I choose this because it is safe to do and the steps are very simple to
follow.
I will use a bright color of shirt to make a tie-dye so people can see the color clearly.

Rough process
After I did several research I came with several steps that are very easy to understand and easy to
follow.
● First, choose a bright color of shirt. So that when you do a tie-dye it is very easy to see the
pattern of the tie-dye.
● Second, lay your shirt on a flat surface. Then take two fingers pin to the center of your shirt
and spin it around into a swirl.
● Third, wrap the rubber bands around the shirt so that they all intersect at the center of the
swamp. I suggest doing that about 4 - 6 times.
● Fourth, now take a tie dye power fill it up to the fill line of the water. Then shake the bottle
until the powder is dissolved. Do the same process for all the bottles of dye.
● Fifth, make each triangular wedge of your shirt a different color of dye then flip your shirt and
continue the same process.
● Sixth, wrap your tie dye shirt and leave it for about 6 - 8 hours.
● Seventh, remove the rubber bands and wash it with tap water. Then wash it again with
detergent. And now you get nice and colorful tie-dye clothing.

Outcome
I hope the final product will look like a shirt with a swirl pattern at the center. And a colorful shirt that
can be used for fashion.
