Job Description

Waitstaff: 6 openings at The Fish Shack, LLC d/b/a Boone’s Fish House and Oyster Room, LLC, 6 Custom House
Wharf, Portland, ME 04101, Phone: (207) 809-9314, to perform taking food/beverage orders, answering questions
about the menu, carrying trays of food and drinks from the kitchen to the dining room, serving customers,
preparing checks, processing payments, removing dirty dishes and cleaning tables, setting up/cleaning dining
areas, refilling condiments and stocking service areas, maintaining contact with kitchen staff, management, and
guests to ensure proper handling of dining details, responding to guest comments/complaints/requests, with other
related duties as assigned. 35+ hrs./wk., Mon-Sun (2 days off, rotating), as early as 8:00 a.m. to as late as 11:00
p.m., $13.95/hr., overtime possible at $20.93/hr.; temporary full-time position (04/01/20-10/31/20). No minimum
education; no experience required; on-the-job training provided; performance-based bonus and raise possible; no
benefits. Paid weekly based on workweek computation. Standard payroll deductions as required by law.

Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be
provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if worker completes half the employment period; the amount for daily
subsistence will be at least $12.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $55.00 per day with receipts; return
transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the
employer. Reimbursement of visa, border and related fees within one week after start of work. The employer
guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the
total employment period. The employer will provide workers, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment
required to perform the job. Optional limited dormitory-style, shared lodging available at a rate of $130.00 per
person per week.
