MPU 3313 COMPARATIVE RELIGION (WEEKEND)

A. COURSE SYNOPSIS

The discussion in this course covers the various aspects of the religion found in the world such as Hinduism,
Buddhism, Confucianism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam. This course covers discussion of world concepts
such as religious, beliefs, customs, faith, nature, the birth of some beliefs and religions, the difference between
the samawi religion and the doctrine of creation, the sources and the impact of religious beliefs on mankind.

B. LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the end of the semester the students will:

1. List the main features of Islam as compared to other religions


2. Explain the concept of religion as well as the importance of both towards human development in the whole
human life.
3. Adapting religious beliefs in daily life to ensure the excellence of human capital.
4. Assess good moral character and abusive behavior based on inner behavior
current society.
5. Compare the difference between the teachings of religions found throughout the world
