ARE AMERICANS TV ADDICTS?

How many hours do you watch TV every week? An average American watches TV for
twenty eight hours every week –that´s four hours a day. They have dinner in front of the TV,
they work in front of the TV, and sometimes they even sleep in front of the TV!
Americans usually watch TV in the evening, Evening shows such as sitcoms are usually on
TV once a week. On the night of their favourite show, some people don´t go out or answer the
phone. They don´t even talk to family members during the show.
Television is an important part of American part of American life. A lot of people talk about
their favourite shows all the time – at work, at school, and on the phone. Americans spend a
lot of time on computers now, but even on the Internet, they still talk a lot about popular TV
shows!
