students in scientific inquiry.

I am committed to student-centered learning and using restorative

justice practices to create a more equitable classroom environment. I
am committed to teaching because I believe that education is the
foundation for all students to become intelligent, independent
individuals who are capable of self-expression, critical thinking, and
providing positive contributions to society. I strongly believe that
education opens doors for students to grow and challenge the
system that they live in. I want to become a teacher because I want
to see all children have an equal opportunity in the classroom and
have equal access to the resources needed to excel.

I have over 800 hours of experience teaching English and utilizing

language acquisition supports in rural Taiwan. I am skilled in using
technology to support active student learning and increase their
scientific literacy. I have ample experience developing phenomena-
based integrated curriculum for both Middle School and High School
classrooms. As a new teacher, I am incredibly open to feedback and
criticism that helps me to improve as an educator. I look forward to
