1. Product form pricing - Different prices charged for different variants of the same product.
E.g., The price of the same type of a car may vary because of different color and add-on
features.

On amzon.in - 500gm of Ezee is sold at 6% discount whereas 1 kg of ezee is sold at 10%


discount

2. Temporary/ Promotional Pricing - It is a discount given on few products for specific time
period to increase the sales of the product

On amzon.in - The watch out sale is from 28th - 30th November offering 50% discount on
watches like fossil, casio etc.
The Amazon Great Indian Festival (Upto 90% discount on certain products for a limited
period)
Lightning deals in Amazon which only opens for a shorter period of time offering a range of
products at a discounted price.
3. Membership Discounts : Offering special discounts only to the members.

Amazon is charging Rs. 999 per year for Amazon Prime subscription and offering different
services like movies, songs, TV series, one day free delivery, special access to sales without
any extra charges
4. Psychological Pricing:

At times when we add a product in cart and leave it off for some time, we get notifications
on the cart price, indicating that the price of product on the cart is reduced by 10% or Rs
100. This is to induce customers to proceed with placing the order.

Another example by these online sites, is when we search for a particular item for some
time and when we open the site again, we get to see that there were discounts running on
that category. This is another example of psychological pricing
