IQAC- Mechanism

 Ensures timely, efficient & progressive performance of an academic, administrative &

financial tasks:
Calendar of Academic events is fixed & will be circulated well in advance to all stake
holders. Adherence to those events will be strictly complied with. Similarly, the
Administrative calendar of events are fixed. Which includes the meeting of both statutory
& non-statutory committees of the institution. Also, IQAC ensures to conduct at least 3
audits (AAA) & incorporate the suggestions given by them on priority basis. IQAC
advises the finance section to carry out both internal & external audits. This is to ensure
optimal resource or financial management.
 Ensures relevant & quality academic/ research programs to be held at the level of
Institution:
IQAC regularly conducts workshops on research grant writing & IPR, has multiple
committees to ensure quality research activity. IQAC in collaboration with Department of
Medical education conducts faculty development programs relevant to different academic
courses offered by an institution. IQAC also conducts an evaluation of teachers with the
help of department of medical education, appreciates the teachers who excel in teaching &
support the poor performers in order to ensure the quality
 It helps in optimization & integration of modern methods of teaching and learning:
IQAC with IT committee has set up new ICT facility after taking the feedback from
various stake holders. Along with the administrators, IT team & IQAC members have
visited different academic institutions in Karnataka & Maharashtra. After conducting
multiple meetings, the current modern ICT facility is set in place.
 It helps to ensure credibility of an assessment and evaluation process:
IQAC ensures the credibility of an assessment process by taking feedback from students &
external examiners. Also, it ensures the results are unbiased by conducting double
valuation & if the difference between two examiners is more than 15%, it will go to third
valuation. Examination process is framed in such way that it ensures the assessment of
different aspects of learning
 Equitable access to and affordability of academic programs for various sections of society:
IQAC has advised the BoM regarding the waiver of fee to the students of Vijayapura
District who got less than 2000 rank in Karnataka CET & also got good rank in entrance
examination conducted by BLDE (DU). Now after the introduction of the NEET, it
facilitates the poor students to join the institution & counsel them regarding the
availability of scholarships & educational loans.
 Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and proper allocation of support structure and
services:
IQAC in consultation with the planning & monitoring board, makes the strategies &
makes sure, it will be deployed & monitors for deliverables. Regularly, the institution
provides the AMC to the concerned service providers. Also, the IQAC ensures that the
support structure is allocated on a priority basis. So that the critical services should not
suffer
 Sharing of research findings and networking with other institutions in India and abroad.
IQAC has advised the examination section to have MoU with NSDL. Also have MoU with
National & International Institution for collaborative research. IQAC was instrumental in
bringing the social networking platform with IT team, so that our work will be visible to
different layers of the society &/or to other educational institutions.
