 HENRY FAYOL

(Henry o Henri Fayol; Estambul, 1841 - París, 1925) se graduó como ingeniero civil de minas
en el año 1860 y desempeñó el cargo de ingeniero en las minas de un importante grupo
minero y metalúrgico, la Sociedad Anónima Commentry Fourchambault. El ultimo que
puesto que ocupo fue el de director gerencial.

Su mas grande obra se publico en 1916 Administración industrial y general, le dedico mas
de 50 años a ese libro. Su base fue la observación el estudio y la practica de la actividad
administrativa.

Los últimos años de su vida los dedico a promover una idea que ahora se considera el carácter
universal de la administración; los principios administrativos pueden y deben aplicarse a
todas las formas de organización humana
