Class-based Faith Camp and Agape Reflection Paper

In this kind of activity, this is actually my first time to join or attend with something like
this called faith camp. I prepared myself by expecting things to happen differently like to learn
and discover more about my own personality because the activity is called “Faith Camp and
Agape” I looked forward to see or know how strong my faith was on that activity.

I think the Religious Studies and Philosophy Area required that the end of the activity of
Lasprit was Faith Camp because it is for the students to be open to each other, to share our
own experiences, to tell our stories behind for us to lessen the pain, sadness, and problems we
are all facing as a student, daughter, son, and as a person. Faith Camp did really help us to be
closer to God, we pray silently and say our own prayers. For me, it is the best way to end our
RelEd subject or LASPRIT because I knew that most of my classmates are in a situation such
as having big problems. Faith camp was really a big help for us, especially for those who are
suffering from problems that it is very difficult to handle, it helped us to strengthen our faith in
everyday of our lives because that kind of activity reminds us how good God is even though we
made mistakes He is always there to forgive our sins, and He never fails to guide us in every
decision that we make.

On a scale of 1-15, I rated myself 15 because we are divided into groups and each
group has a task to do to make our faith camp successful. My group was assigned on
organizing the food we are going to eat, and I felt that I did well and I participated actively on our
faith camp. But it is not only the food we organize, it was my really focus on God that day and
that moment, I told myself that I will not think of some things that are not related to God for me
to feel His presence.

During the Faith Camp and Agape of our class I felt relieved because even though in a
short period of time I spent our sharing moments inside our class, like all of us was really
comfortable with each other because my classmates are sharing their experiences in life, I also
knew what keeps them going that can inspire each of us. I felt my faith in God, by always
thinking positive no matter what happens.

The lessons I’ve learned on our Faith Camp was to never give up in any challenges I will
encounter because I realized that God will not give me those problems if He knows that I’m not
going to make it. Have faith and always believe in Him for He has better plans for us.
