THE 5 KEY FACTORS

Everybody has personal desires. But there are five factors

that separate the Dreamers from the Doers.

WHY: What is the reason you want what you want? If it’s a
burning desire – don’t suppress it; it is a worthy goal. Own it.

ATTITUDE: Your mindset is everything. If you believe you

can accomplish something, that’s all you need.

FOCUS: Distractions are the dream killer. Never take your

eye off the prize.

STRUGGLE: Prepare yourself for the difficulty ahead. Noth-

ing worth having comes without sacrifice.

EFFORT: Are you working harder than the other guy? How
about smarter? If not, you need to be.
APPLICATION TO LIFE

1. What is a goal that you’ve always thought was out of reach?

Can you articulate why this goal is worth pursuing above all
else?

2. What is your greatest distraction? Is there anything you can

reasonably do to minimize its influence?

3. Who is the most driven person you know? For a couple

days, try to match pace with them. See what you can learn.
Are they working harder? Smarter? Or both?

4. Quitting doesn’t stop your progress. It actually rewinds the

clock, pulling you backwards. Why do you think this is?
APPLICATION TO LIFE

5. Assess your attitude. Before you chase your goal, make

sure you’re emotionally equipped to make progress. What
are some mantras you can use to get in the right state of
mind?

6. What’s the most significant roadblock to reaching your

goal? What can you do now, to prepare ahead of time?

7. Think of something you regret quitting. This week, make an

effort to try again. But this time, keep a daily progress journal.
At the end of the week, reflect if the journal motivated you.
