At ten years of age I first found out (thanks to the magic of the internet) about a small album

called ​Hamilton​… and so my love affair with theater began. As I heard the story of a young,
smart outsider with a hunger to prove himself, I couldn’t help but see myself in the show and
while I watched every single YouTube clip and witness the gorgeous music, beautiful sets
and costumes and, of course, the amazing performances by the brilliant performers, I
thought to my myself: ​Wow.... this is what I want to do in my life​. And after I discovered that
there are more things like Hamilton called musicals and that an entire community of people
is involved in making and seeing them, I became flat out obsessed. The problem was, none
of the Czech people that I knew didn’t have a clue that something as amazing as Hamilton,
Be More Chill, or so many of the other English shows that I love even existed!

I couldn’t find any training anywhere near me dedicated specifically to musical theater, so I
started going to the drama club at my school and I started to bring more show tunes to my
vocal lessons. I found out about your program online and every single thing about it
appealed to me instantly.... but my parents would never let me fly out to NYC just because of
some “stupid training”. I almost screamed when I found that you moved your program online
and given this fantastic opportunity not just to me but to so many other students around the
globe as well; my mental health has not been great during quarantine and art is one of the
only things that’s helping me survive this trying time.

If I get accepted, I will dedicate my heart and soul to working with some of my personal role
models that I have admired for years, like the incomparable Betsy Wolfe herself. I’m also
excited about the chance to work with, learn from, and be inspired by the lovely and talented
pupils like me that will be attending; I’d be honored to find friends my age that love doing the
same thing as I do. I’m sure that in those five days I would grow as a performer (and as a
human being) more than ever before and I would the cherish the tips and knowledge that I
would have acquired during your sessions throughout my whole life and career in the arts. I
recognise that it’s harder now more than ever before to succeed in this industry and I’m
certain that the things I would learn during your sessions would help me to advance my
career and chances for acceptance at the college of my choice.

Since BE is quite expensive (your brilliant schedule and lessons more than make up for the
price though), my parents would prefer if we could save about 500 dollars on the tuition.
However, if pressed, my family would be able to pay more than that or even the entire cost
of BroadwayEvolved.
