Organization are constantly evolving in a fast pace where the environment that they operate on is

also changing which put the organization in a situation that they have to think of their very own
survival. They should be willing and able to adapt according to the changes that comes and
should embrace the changes so that their competitive advantage stays intact. Organization these
days face two types of change; internal and external changes and in many cases we can see that
organization changes internally so that they can adapt to the external factors that are always
changing. In this paper we will critically evaluate and analyze the changes that Funky Buddha
Restaurant faced while dealing with the organization changes by making use of various effective
management techniques for change. We will also talk about the various ways that the
management were involved for the changes required by the organization so that they would be
competitive and would be sustainable for a long period of time.

Being situated at the heart of the city area of Kathmandu, Thamel which was also the tourist hub
of Nepal Funky Buddha were one of the many restaurants operating at this place. The location
helped in many ways as there were good inflows of customers from the international tourist to
the native people of the country. Having being operating for approximately for 15 years Funky
Buddha had never faced any major changes whilst operating and as of that reason one of the
major stakeholders of a particular business ‘employees’ were so comfortable to the setting and
the working environment of the company that if anything had come up they won’t be able to
adjust according to the strategical changes required within the organization. The day had come
when the organization were notified that the building that they were operating on had to shut
down for maintenance purposes and would take about 2 years to complete the reframing and
redesigning of the workplace and the building on whole.

This change that had occurred due to uncertain circumstances like environmental hazard
problems would mean to be the most vital and important change the organization might have
faced while their operating years as a top class food services provider in their home country. As
this situation meant that they had to shift their business to another location with an uncertainty of
good inflows of customers as before and catering to new sets of customers as in whole which
may be less than before because of the change of location. This meant that the organization had
to reform their employee structure due to small size of the location that they will be operating on
and had to make certain employees redundant from their job. This was a necessary step to be
taken as the new place had such small spacing that it was unnecessary to have that many
workforces at their disposal.

As for Funky Buddha they had already planned their next location
