Listening and reading :

1) The branches of electrical engineering cited in the video
are :
 Power.
 Electronics.
 RF(Radio frequency)/Telecommunications.
 Controls.
2) The different types of converters :
 AC to DC converter.
 DC to DC converter.
 AC to AC and DC to AC.
3) Different types of filters :
 High-pass.
 Low-pass.
 Band-pass.
 Notch/band-reject.
4) Some examples of the applications and reach of
electrical engineering :
 Battery electronics vehiculs.
 Computer.
 Solar energy.
 Mecanical energy.
 Wind energy.
 Motors.
 Automatic driving.
5) Definitions of :

 Power : Power engineering, also called power systems engineering, is a

subfield of electrical engineering that deals with the generation,
transmission, distribution and utilization of electric power.
 Electronics : Electronic engineering (also called electronics and
communications engineering) is an electrical engineering discipline which
utilizes nonlinear and active electrical components (such
as semiconductor devices, especially transistors, diodes and integrated
circuits) to design electronic circuits, devices, VLSI devices and
their systems.
 Controls : Control engineering or control systems engineering is
an engineering discipline that applies control theory to design systems
with desired behaviors in control environments.[1] The discipline of
controls overlaps and is usually taught along with electrical
engineering and mechanical engineering at many institutions around the
world
 Radio frequency : is the oscillation rate of an alternating electric
current or voltage or of a magnetic, electric or electromagnetic field or
mechanical system in the frequency range from around 20 kHz to
around 300 GHz. This is roughly between the upper limit of audio
frequencies and the lower limit of infrared frequencies;these are the
frequencies at which energy from an oscillating current can radiate off a
conductor into space as radio waves. Different sources specify different
upper and lower bounds for the frequency range.
 Telecommunications : Telecommunications Engineering is
an engineering discipline centered on electrical and computer
engineering which seeks to support and
enhance telecommunication systems.[1][2] The work ranges from
basic circuit design to strategic mass developments.
6) I’m interested by : virtual reality
There are many uses of virtual reality which range from academic research
through to engineering, design, business, the arts and entertainment so we
need VR in our life more then anything because all of things and subjects now
are using by VR and this last facilate our lifes.

Writing :

Electrical engineering consist of many subfieleds such

as :power,electronics,RF.Telecommunication and controls,etc…
There are four types of converters : AC to DC converter,DC to DC converter,AC
to AC and DC to AC.
Each one of this subfields have its own electives classes that people will find a
classe more interesting than another and where they will dive into. And also
where they will be working in totally different senior project.
