Take room service order
• Lift receiver on the first ring.
“Room service , good ___ This is _____speaking,
how may I help you?”
• Take orders and write them on order slips.
• Suggest and clarify : eggs-boiled , poached,
over easy ; steaks-rare , medium or well done
“will that be all ma’m/sir?”
• Repeat the order
• Room number/guest name
Deliver the food to the guest room
• Make sure tray or trolley has complete set-
up.(food cover , accompaniments ,glass cover,
condiments , table napkins , etc.
• Knock gently or activate buzzer and announce
”room service!”I am___..may I come in?
• Serve food and beverage according to
standards(uncover plates and glasses)
Offer to set-up and serve the food to
the guest
Ask ”would you like me to set your table?
“Where would you like me to set the trolley?”
“Shall I pour the coffee?”
“Would you like me to open your curtain to
brighten your room?”
Bill out
May I present to you your bill?
“What time would you like me to come back to
get your soiled dishes?
