Maintenance, Operations & Turn Around
o Planning and effectuating static and rotating equipment maintenance: Predictive & preventive maintenance schedules for various
equipment to increase machine uptime & equipment reliability. Shutdown (Turn around) planning and implementation.
Implementing maintenance schedules and carrying out periodic checks to ensure performance and maintaining requisite
documents for the same. Identifying areas of breakdowns and taking steps to rectify through application of troubleshooting tools
like root cause analysis.

Technical Support
o Providing technical support for maintenance to ensure smooth operation and repeated faults/repairs. Conducting performance
trials of engineering equipment of the plant to establish standards before and after major repairs. Formulating & budgeting
normal, major and capital maintenance activities for plant equipment.

Erection, Testing & Commissioning


o Anchoring erection & commissioning activities to ensure completion of project within the time & cost parameters and effective
resource utilisation to maximize the output. Carrying out overhauling work of equipment, modifications, and major repairs to
improve equipment efficiency by faultfinding. Conducting tests & inspections to ensure operational effectiveness of plant &
utilities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

o Gained over 21 years of Maintenance experience in Oil and Gas/Petrochemical Industry (Onshore & Offshore).
o In charge of all static and rotating equipment maintenance.
o Execution of preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of static equipment’s and rotary/reciprocating equipment’s

o Capital and revenue budget proposals, vendor analysis, floating enquiries, techno commercial offer reviews, negotiation and
getting note for approval for budget allocation.
o Execution of reliability centered maintenance plan for critical equipment’s, failure analysis to improve MTBF and reduce MTTR.
o Performance study on rotary equipment’s related to Energy conservation/scope for improvement.
o Identification of repetitive problems in rotary equipment’s, finding/implementing solution and monitoring its performance.
o Experience in condition monitoring of rotating equipment’s. Root cause analysis and reliability improvements.
o Creating service order/entry, billing etc
o Planning and execution for Annual-Turnaround with co executives.
o Coordination for ISO 9001-2000/IMS audits and maintaining records-History card updating.
o Identification of cost saving measures and implementation in coordination with co executives.
o Fully conversant with P & ID’s, fabrication, Erection, Hydro testing, chemical cleaning, Oil Flushing, Dry out Operations, bolt
torquing & tensioning (Flange Management), Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning of a large part of systems in refinery.
o Experience in Preparing catch-up plan/ mitigation measures to meet target milestones /resolve the backlogs in the schedule.
o Carrying out FAT for all type of static and rotating equipments.
o Training to subordinates and leading group of people

EXPERIENCE WITH THE FIELD EQUIPMENT

 Rotating Equipment’s:

o Centrifugal Pumps - Bearing condition checking and replacing, shaft run out, impeller and wear ring clearance checking,
alignment, mechanical seals replacements.
o Reciprocating Pumps - Bearing clearance checking and replacement, plunger and piston servicing, NRV suction and discharge
valves servicing, diaphragm replacement, relief valve servicing, warm wheel and warm shaft replacement, gear replacement
and alignment.
o Reciprocating Compressors - Checking bearing clearance (big-end and small-end bearings),connecting rod bush bearing
clearance ,piston rod deflection checking, piston and bearer ring replacement, packing’s (gas, intermediate and oil packing)
servicing, suction and discharge valves service and fixing, auxiliary lube oil pump servicing, web deflection checking and
alignment .
o Centrifugal Compressors - Bearing maintenance, internal clearance checking, seal assembling(floating and mechanical seal),
axial and radial float adjustment, bearing inspection(journal bearing and tilting bearing), checking trip and panel readings
and alignment
o Steam & Gas Turbines - Bearing maintenance, wheel alignment checking, nozzle clearance checking, hand-valve servicing,
governor manual adjustment setting, trip setting with appropriate RPM, checking condition for lube oil system and alignment.
o Fin fans and cooling tower fans - Gear box bearing and gears replacement, blades angle alignment, Fin fan bearing block
bearing replacement, shaft replacement.
o Blower, Fans, Centrifuges - Bearing clearance checking along with Plummer block, shaft run-out, impeller condition checking,
shaft centring with casing and alignment.
o Alignment

 Static Equipment’s:

o Well head Equipment’s: (Onshore & Offshore)


o Well head (Christmas tree) valves maintenance and associated services

o Assemblies of Column Internals like Trays, Distributor pipes, nozzles and Packing’s.
o Heat Exchangers:
o Erection and Testing of HE fabricated in accordance with TEMA Class-R.
o Preparation of mock-up test and witnessing for Tube to Tube-sheet joint and hydro testing of the HE from Tube and Shell side.
o Maintenance of all types of Heat Exchangers.
o Boilers:
o Statutory Maintenance, Refractory dry-out, Alkali boil-out and Safety valve floating of Boilers. Periodic Annual inspection of
boilers.
o Oil Fired Heaters:
o Site construction of Heaters, detail engineering by M/s, EIL.
o Execution of layout preparation and Refractory castables and Modules lining.
o Piping
o Erection of Radiation & Convection tubes, Air Pre-Heater, Air Ducts and supporting Structural, Hydro-testing of tubes.
o Execution of Pre-fabrication works after reviewing of Piping and Isometric drawings.
o Executing and monitoring fabrication activities / PWHT in work shop as per inspection report and assisting for welder
qualification process. Reviewing test report (DP, RT Etc.) and identifying repair location for correction.
o Executing and Monitoring surface finishing and painting activity of pipe lines and other related equipment’s as per standard
o Valves:
o Experienced in maintenance of MOV’s, other industrial valves like Gate valve, Globe Valve, Ball Valve, Plug Valve, Check Valves,
steam and gas trap, gear box etc.
o Experience in Servicing and Testing of Pressure Safety / relief Valves as per API standard.
o Requesting and coordination with local and third party inspector for test approval.
o Safety valves float testing and gagging for third party inspection.
o Packages handled:
o Experience in erection and handling of Filter coaleser skids, dye injection skids, chemical dosing skids, pour point depressant
skids, lubricity improver skids, flow metering skids etc.
