EXPERIMENT – 6
TITLE: Software as a Service (SaaS)
OBJECTIVE: Understand on-demand application delivery and Virtual Desktop infrastructure.
TECHNOLOGY: Ulteo

INSTALLATION STEPS:

Step 1:
Install Ulteo iso from www.ulteo.com.

Step 2:
Open a new VM in VM player and install Ulteo.

Wait for the new OVD system to reboot. It displays the same boot splash screen as seen before.
Once the OVD has rebooted, it shows up the login prompt system and waits. Useful OVD URL
information is recalled to you.

Step 3:
Login on Admin portal. Specify Username and Password as ‘admin’.

Under server tab Register server, click on ‘Manage’ to add IP address of Ulteo Server Go to user tab
to add multiple users Go to Application Tab to Create Application Group.

Go to user tab to add multiple users.

Go to Application Tab to Create Application Group.

Go to User Tab Create to User Group Map User group with Application group and use the services
at client side.

Step 4:
At Client-side, open https://Ulteo-Server-ipaddress/ovd for Client access. Specify Username and
Password and access the software added in Application group.

CONCLUSION:
Thus, we have successfully learned on-demand application delivery and Virtual Desktop
infrastructure.
