2. How will the academic advising during enrollment be conducted?

Academic advising will be done via Zoom. The steps and links on how to seek
academic advising will be sent via email to your mymail.mapua.edu.ph account.

3. What will I do if I have issues on payments?

Students who have issues on payments may email any of the following
Treasury personnel for proper guidance:

4. How will my rebate f rom the previous quarter be used for this quarter?

Rebate from the previous quarter can be deducted from your balance in the
previous quarter or from the total amount that you need to pay for this quarter.

5. Can I enroll in an advanced course if I get an IP in the prerequisite course?

Yes, you can enroll in an advanced course. All prerequisites for this quarter
will be waived automatically.

MODE OF DELIVERY
6. What is the mode of delivery in the courses offered in the 4th Quarter
AY 2019-2020?

If face-to-face classes remain suspended during the 4th quarter, all courses
offered in the 4th Quarter AY 2019-2020 will be conducted via online delivery
through Cardinal Edge.

CONVERSION OF IP TO PASSING GRADE

7. Up to when can I complete my IP grade from 3rd Quarter of AY 2019-2020?

The Academic Council extended the period of conversion of IP grade to passing

mark to two quarters. All IP grades from 3rd Quarter of AY 2019-2020 can be
converted to passing mark until the end of 1st Quarter of AY 2020-2021. All IP
grades in thesis courses can still be completed up to four (4) quarters.

8. If I get an IP in the 3rd Quarter of AY 2019-2020, how can I convert IP into a

passing grade?

Communicate with your instructor to determine how you will complete the
course requirements. You are given up to the end of 1st Quarter of AY 2020-
2021 to complete the course requirements and convert the IP grade into a
passing mark.

9. If my IP is converted to a passing grade, will my QWA for the 3rd Quarter

be recomputed?

No, your QWA for the 3rd Quarter AY 2019-2020 will not be recomputed, but your
running GWA will be recomputed.

10. What will happen if my IP grade from 3rd Quarter AY 2019-2020 is not
converted to a passing mark by the end of 1st Quarter of AY 2020-2021?

In your transcript of records, the IP mark will be your f inal grade in the said
course, and you will need to re-enroll the course in the 2nd Quarter
AY 2020- 2021, if offered.

11. If I pass an advanced course in the 4th Quarter AY 2019-2020, but failed to
complete the IP in the prerequisite course by the end of the 1st Quarter of
AY 2020-2021, will I get credit in the advanced course?

Yes, you will get credit in the advanced course, but you will need to re-enroll
the prerequisite course in the 2nd Quarter of AY 2020-2021, if offered.

CAN PASS, CAN’T FAIL POLICY

12. What is the meaning of CAN PASS, CAN’T FAIL policy?

With the CAN PASS, CAN’T FAIL policy, students who fulfill course requirements
and pass the course will be given a passing mark. Those who cannot complete
the course requirements on time or pass the course will be given a grade of IP.
Students are given all the chances for two quarters to convert the IP grade into
a passing mark. Students can attend and sit in on the classes where they got an
IP grade without having to pay for tuition and other fees.

13. Will the CAN PASS, CAN’T FAIL policy in the 3rd Quarter be extended up
to the 4th Quarter AY 2019-2020?

Yes, the CAN PASS, CAN’T FAIL policy will be extended up to the 4th Quarter
AY 2019-2020.

14. What will happen if I cannot complete course requirements in the

4th Quarter AY 2019-2020?

As with the previous quarter, you will get a grade of IP, and you will be given
two quarters to complete the course requirements, until the end of
2nd Quarter AY 2020-2021.

STATUS REVIEW
15. After the 4th Quarter AY 2019-2020, how will my academic status be
evaluated for AY 2019-2020

The evaluation of academic status for Academic Year 2019-2020 will be

suspended. No student will be removed f rom his/her program for this
academic year due to academic status.

SHIFTING
16. Can I shift to another program?

Yes, you can shift to another program after the 4th quarter term. The rules
of shifting apply and can be found in the Academic Handbook, which you
can download f rom your MyMapua. If you have intention to shift to another
program, please email the Registrar at registrar@mapua.edu.ph f rom June 8
to July 24, 2020.
