The fullscale static testing, which was conducted on Raptor 3999, fone of two non-fving airframes, began at the Marietta facility during 1999. Since then, the airframe has been subjected to loads applied by humerous hydraulic rams designed to simulate the forces the aircraft encounters during flight. This testing is done primarily to demonstrate the. structural integrity of the airframe.
