Professional Lifelong Learning Plan
Professional Lifelong Learning Plan
Teaching takes a vital role and very challenging in this fast changing world nowadays. Yet, teaching is life. It composes sacrifices, hardships and
enjoyment, but at the end of the day you will realizes and feel the fulfillment knowing that you are educating and equipping children to complete better
and survive with all the demands of the society we all live.
In order for us to cope with the demand of 21 st century education, we must engage ourselves with a technology driven, diverse, and quickly
changing flat world. Therefore, we need to prepare students/pupils for this world with problem solving, collaboration, and analysis as well as skills for
lifelong learning. I, as more than 1 year in service teaching would say that I’ve earned knowledge and was trained in the teaching career during my
college days. But then, those are not enough and may not be contented with it, for I know very well I have to continuously gain, absorb, and build skills
and knowledge and apply these throughout the life of an individual. As what Einstein’s quote says “acquisition of learning may indeed take us a
lifetime”.
Writing my personal lifelong learning plan is essential. It enables me to have my own learning contract. Developing PLLP is not easy. I
experienced difficulties in which I have to refer what thus 21 st century skill and literacies mean in order to create successful lifelong learning plan as my
personal commitment and a fruitful life journey. In other hand, continually learning how to learn new all time. It also maximizes. My resources such as
time, energy as well maximizes my mental ability wherein I did analytical, critical and creative thinking just to anchor the power of words to form ideas. I
also found out fund and time are common barriers or challenges in implementing activities in developing/enhancing 21 st century literacies. Through
proper coordination of teacher to the agency, school, school head together the identified solution or action point surely these will be addressed. Designing
my own personal lifelong learning plan helped me collaborate with my colleagues and school head in discussing, refining and got a brilliant life
recommendation from them. Moreover, designing this PLLP is also making learning fun just what Dr. Ruth once said “Live life every day like a turtle”.
To get anywhere, a turtle has to stick its stick its neck out and take a risk. It’s the only way to turtle live and make a difference in the world.
