As a result of the National Orientation Workshop on the Implementation of DepED Order No. 5 1, 5. 2004, prescribing National Standard Curriculum for Madrasah Education conducted last December 16, 2004 at Apo View Hotel, Davao City, one of the major issues. ‘and concerns raised is the identification of the schoois with substantial number of Muslim enrollees in the public schools. 2. Considering that the Standard Curriculum for Elementary Public Schools and Private Madaris is scheduled for implementation in June 2005, you are hereby directed through the Schools Division Superintendents, to immediately conduct a Schoo! Mapping of elementary schools with considerable Muslim population and private Madaris. The required information/data are as follows: 1. Survey of Public Elementary Schools with substantial Muslim pupils to include: > Name of school with complete address, by District /Division; > Number of Muslim pupils by school and grade level; and > Name of School HeadiPrincipal 2 Survey of Private Madaris in your respective region with the following information: > Name of Private Madrasah with complete address, by DistrictDivision; > Total number of student enrollees per Madrasah; > Type of Madrasah, either week end Madrasah or regular Madrasah; > Total number of teachers per Madrasah; and > Name of Madrasah Administrator/Operator 3. The required data shall be used in the preparation of project proposals for the sourcing of financial support from the Donor Community for Madrasah Education.
