HOW TO HANDLE PANADEMIC SITUATION IN
PAKISTAN?
Problem Identification

• How to handle pandemic situation in Pakistan

(CORONAVIRUS/ COVID - 19) ?
Problem Definition

• COVID-19 is a infectious disease caused by a newly discovered Coronavirus

which is caused by SARS-CoV-2, there are still no vaccines that protect
against it. (It is an RNA molecule of about 30,000 bases containing 15 genes,
including the S gene which codes for a protein located on the surface of the
viral envelope)
Problem Analysis

In December 2019, 27 of the first 41 people hospitalized (66 percent) passed

through a market located in the heart of Wuhan city in Hubei province. It is
known that bats of the genus Rhinolophus (potentially several cave species)
were the reservoir of this virus and that a small carnivore, the palm civet
(Paguma larvata), may have served as an intermediate host between bats and
the first human cases.
On 26 February, Pakistan confirmed its first two cases of the coronavirus,
when a man infected with virus traveled from Iran.

unity.
• Deploy all resources in health care and medics.

• Using Tech to Avoid Human Contact Might not be such a bad thing.
• Stick to the facts.
• Suspension of flights to foreign countries.
• Avoid close contact with anyone with cold and flu like symptoms.
• Thoroughly cook meat and eggs.
• Unprotected contact with live wild or farm animals.
• Avoid hospital visit if the symptoms don’t worsen.
Validation
The government in a statement hints at imposing complete lockdown , all
international flights & train services are being suspended for two weeks as the
coronavirus cases surged to 730 in the country after more pilgrims who returned
from Iran tested positive for the deadly virus , after which The Sindh health
minister, Dr Azra Pechuho, has said that the lockdown has led to a decrease in
new cases of the novel coronavirus in Sindh, especially in Karachi.
To protect Lahore from the transmissible #COVID19, @LWMC1139 is
disinfecting major roads, squares, bus stands and other public places.
This operation will be carried out on daily basis in order to defeat the epidemic.
Though the lockdown has still not been 100% successful, one can see that
less number of people have tested positive despite an increase in total tests.

•QUESTION # 2
HOW TO END POVERTY?
Problem Identification

• How to End Poverty and rising level of difference

between Higher Class and lower Class in Pakistan?
Problem Definition

• Poverty is a state or condition in which a person or

community lacks the financial resources and essentials
for a minimum standard of living. Poverty means that
the income level from employment is so low that basic
human needs can't be met.
Problem Analysis
• More than 12 million people were added to the poor in Pakistan between
1993 and 1999. The rising poverty was the result of poor governance and
slow economic growth.
There is no general or universal social protection system in Pakistan. However,
a number of initiatives aimed at helping the poor by improving governance
and functioning of public sector institutions; creating assets, employment, and
income-generation opportunities; revamping social safety net systems; and
improving access to basic services are being implemented by the Government,
and also by Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and the private sector.

Solution Design

• The Business Solution to Poverty presents a radical new idea that’s firmly
grounded in common sense. It describes precisely the sort of investment
opportunity that patient investors who seek social impact are looking for.
Once companies like those “SAF Foundation , Ehsaas , Sahara & Umeed”
envision are up and running and looking to the capital markets, I’m
confident they will provide the opportunities for funding to help put an end
to National poverty.
