There is so much in this world to read and know. Many writings inform, very few writings inspire. Inspire to dream
bigger than what our current reality can hold, inspire to think bolder than what our present circumstances will allow,
inspire to think deeper than what our available time will permit. Only such writings stand the test of the time. We
have plenty of such beautiful treasures in our history and heritage – we celebrate them for sure, but we don’t learn
from them enough. Learning from our own roots has a huge power to unlock the potential like a plant that grows
through the nourishment from its own roots into a huge tree that benefits many. Hence this effort to look at the
Old Treasures of India and invoke a New Search into them .

A few words from the presenter …..

I grew up in a traditional south Indian family with all the ups and downs of a typical household with all the
boundaries and balances of a conservative upbringing.Through all these years of upbringing , my thought
partner was Mahakavi Bharathiyar. His book landed in my hands when I was 11 years old and had never left my
hand after decades of work and life. His reading gave me courage and liberty that was hard to access from my
immediate environment. His poetries gave me permission to think di!erently and follow my heart. Even today
Bharathi travels with me where ever I go around the world through his thoughts, encouragement, guidance and
inspiration …..
