The Bayānī Obligatory Prayer (dūʿā) for Fridays

The following translation is based on the recorded oral transmission of this

important weekly Bayānī prayer whose recording was uploaded to Youtube by the

present translator in 2013.1 This oral version also differs slightly from the typed

PDF version presently on Bayanic.com.2 Two variant handwritten versions of the

text can also be found in Subḥ-i-Azal’s kitāb al-aḍḥāʾ (the Book of Sacrifice) whose

scans are offered below immediately after the translation.3

In the Name of God the Most Elevated, the Most Elevated!

Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Divinity (ulūhīyatika) which
is victoriously surmounting over all-things that Thou make triumphant the essence of
the possessor of every [Letter] Alif (‫ )ا‬who shall believe in the One Thou shalt Manifest
on the Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of Thy Mighteous Supremity!
Verily Thou art Powerful over all-things!

Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Splendor (bahāʾika) which is
victoriously surmounting over all-things that Thou make triumphant the essence of
the possessor of every [Letter] Bāʾ (‫ )ب‬who shall believe in the One Thou shalt
Manifest on the Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of Thy Mighteous
Supremity! Verily Thou art Powerful over all-things!

Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Beneficence (jūdika) which
is victoriously surmounting over all-things that Thou make triumphant the essence of
the possessor of every [Letter] Jīm (‫ )ج‬who shall believe in the One Thou shalt
Manifest on the Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of Thy Mighteous
Supremity! Verily Thou art Powerful over all-things!

Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Perpetuity (daymūmīyatika)
which is victoriously surmounting over all-things that Thou make triumphant the
essence of the possessor of every [Letter] Dāl (‫ )د‬who shall believe in the One Thou
shalt Manifest on the Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of Thy Mighteous
Supremity! Verily Thou art Powerful over all-things!

Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Guidance (hidāyatika)
which is victoriously surmounting over all-things that Thou make triumphant the
essence of the possessor of every [Letter] Hāʾ (‫ )ه‬who shall believe in the One Thou
shalt Manifest on the Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of Thy Mighteous
Supremity! Verily Thou art Powerful over all-things!

Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Providential Guidance
(wilāyatika) which is victoriously surmounting over all-things that Thou make
triumphant the essence of the possessor of every [Letter] Wāw (‫ )و‬who shall believe
in the One Thou shalt Manifest on the Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of
Thy Mighteous Supremity! Verily Thou art Powerful over all-things!

Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Pure Unblemishedness
(zukātīyatika) which is victoriously surmounting over all-things that Thou make
triumphant the essence of the possessor of every [Letter] Zāʾ (‫ )ز‬who shall believe in
the One Thou shalt Manifest on the Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of
Thy Mighteous Supremity! Verily Thou art Powerful over all-things!

Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Life (ḥayyātika) which is
victoriously surmounting over all-things that Thou make triumphant the essence of
the possessor of every [Letter] Ḥāʾ (‫ )ح‬who shall believe in the One Thou shalt
Manifest on the Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of Thy Mighteous
Supremity! Verily Thou art Powerful over all-things!

Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Purity (ṭāhirīyatika) which
is victoriously surmounting over all-things that Thou make triumphant the essence of
the possessor of every [Letter] Ṭāʾ (‫ )ط‬who shall believe in the One Thou shalt
Manifest on the Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of Thy Mighteous
Supremity! Verily Thou art Powerful over all-things!

Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Standard (yamīnika) which
is victoriously surmounting over all-things that Thou make triumphant the essence of
the possessor of every [Letter] Yāʾ (‫ )ي‬who shall believe in the One Thou shalt
Manifest on the Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of Thy Mighteous
Supremity! Verily Thou art Powerful over all-things!

Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Essential Being
(kaynūnīyatika) which is victoriously surmounting over all-things that Thou make
triumphant the essence of the possessor of every [Letter] Kāf (‫ )ك‬who shall believe in
the One Thou shalt Manifest on the Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of
Thy Mighteous Supremity! Verily Thou art Powerful over All-Things!

Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Subtlety (laṭāfīyatika) which
is victoriously surmounting over all-things that Thou make triumphant the essence of
the possessor of every [Letter] Lām (‫ )ل‬who shall believe in the One Thou shalt
Manifest on the Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of Thy Mighteous
Supremity! Verily Thou art Powerful over all-things!
Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Sovereign Possession
(mālikīyatika) which is victoriously surmounting over all-things that Thou make
triumphant the essence of the possessor of every [Letter] Mīm (‫ )م‬who shall believe in
the One Thou shalt Manifest on the Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of
Thy Mighteous Supremity! Verily Thou art Powerful over all-things!

Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Luminescence

(nūrānīyatika) which is victoriously surmounting over all-things that Thou make
triumphant the essence of the possessor of every [Letter] Nūn (‫ )ن‬who shall believe in
the One Thou shalt Manifest on the Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of
Thy Mighteous Supremity! Verily Thou art Powerful over all-things!

Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Glory (subbūḥīyatika) which
is victoriously surmounting over all-things that Thou make triumphant the essence of
the possessor of every [Letter] Sīn (‫ )س‬who shall believe in the One Thou shalt
Manifest on the Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of Thy Mighteous
Supremity! Verily Thou art Powerful over all-things!

Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Supremity (ʿulūwwika)
which is victoriously surmounting above the essence of everything that possesses
supremity that Thou make triumphant the essence of the possessor of every [Letter]
ʿAyn (‫ )ع‬who shall believe in the One Thou shalt Manifest on the Day of Resurrection,
the Essence of the Proof of Thy Mighteous Supremity! Verily Thou art Powerful over
all-things!

Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Singularity (fardānīyatika)
which is victoriously surmounting over all-things that Thou make triumphant the
essence of the possessor of every [Letter] Fāʾ (‫ )ف‬who shall believe in the One Thou
shalt Manifest on the Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of Thy Mighteous
Supremity! Verily Thou art Powerful over all-things!

Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Everlastingness

(ṣamadānīyatika) which is victoriously surmounting over all-things that Thou make
triumphant the essence of the possessor of every [Letter] Ṣād (‫ )ص‬who shall believe in
the One Thou shalt Manifest on the Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of
Thy Mighteous Supremity! Verily Thou art Powerful over all-things!

Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Insurmountable Power
(qudūrīyatika) which is victoriously surmounting over all-things that Thou make
triumphant the essence of the possessor of every [Letter] Qāf (‫ )ق‬who shall believe in
the One Thou shalt Manifest on the Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of
Thy Mighteous Supremity! Verily Thou art Powerful over all-things!

Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Mercy (raḥmatika) which is
victoriously surmounting over all-things that Thou make triumphant the essence of
the possessor of every [Letter] Rāʾ (‫ )ر‬who shall believe in the One Thou shalt
Manifest on the Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of Thy Mighteous
Supremity! Verily Thou art Powerful over all-things!

Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Witnessing (shāhidīyatika)
which is victoriously surmounting over all-things that Thou make triumphant the
essence of the possessor of every [Letter] Shīn (‫ )ش‬who shall believe in the One Thou
shalt Manifest on the Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of Thy Mighteous
Supremity! Verily Thou art Powerful over all-things!

Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Bestowal of Repentance
(tawwābīyatika) which is victoriously surmounting over all-things that Thou make
triumphant the essence of the possessor of every [Letter] Tāʾ (‫ )ت‬who shall believe in
the One Thou shalt Manifest on the Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of
Thy Mighteous Supremity! Verily Thou art Powerful over all-things!

Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Fixed Permanence
(thābitīyatika) which is victoriously surmounting over all-things that Thou make
triumphant the essence of the possessor of every [Letter] Thāʾ (‫ )ث‬who shall believe
in the One Thou shalt Manifest on the Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of
Thy Mighteous Supremity! Verily Thou art Powerful over all-things!

Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Creatvity (khāliqīyatika)
which is victoriously surmounting over all-things that Thou make triumphant the
essence of the possessor of every [Letter] Khāʾ (‫ )خ‬who shall believe in the One Thou
shalt Manifest on the Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of Thy Mighteous
Supremity! Verily Thou art Powerful over all-things!

Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Luminous Particularization
(dhāriʾīyatika) which is victoriously surmounting over all-things that Thou make
triumphant the essence of the possessor of every [Letter] Dhāl (‫ )ذ‬who shall believe in
the One Thou shalt Manifest on the Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of
Thy Mighteous Supremity! Verily Thou art Powerful over all-things!
Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Light (ḍīyāʾika) which is
Resplendent above all-things that Thou make triumphant the essence of the possessor
of every [Letter] Ḍāḍ (‫ )ض‬who shall believe in the One Thou shalt Manifest on the
Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of Thy Mighteous Supremity! Verily Thou
art Powerful over all-things!

Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Manifestness (ẓāhirīyatika)
which is victoriously surmounting over all-things that Thou make triumphant the
essence of the possessor of every [Letter] Ẓāʾ (‫ )ظ‬who shall believe in the One Thou
shalt Manifest on the Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of Thy Mighteous
Supremity! Verily Thou art Powerful over all-things!

Glorified art Thou, O God my Lord, I beseech Thee by Thy Enriching Wealth
(ghanāʾika) which is victoriously surmounting over all-things that Thou make
triumphant the essence of the possessor of every [Letter] Ghayn (‫ )غ‬who shall believe
in the One Thou shalt Manifest on the Day of Resurrection, the Essence of the Proof of
Thy Mighteous Supremity! Verily Thou art Powerful over all-things!

And I indeed bear witness to Thee upon this that there is no other God but Thee and
verily the Essence of the Seven Letters is Thy servant and the Manifestation of Thy
Logos-Self! Indeed I have risen to Thee by Him through what Thou hath willed in the
Bayān! Glorified art Thou! Glorified art Thou, for there is no other God but Thee!
Glorified art Thou, verily I am of the invokers! And the blessings of God be upon
Muḥammad and the Family of Muḥammad, and the Divine Will of Muḥammad! And
the blessings of God be upon the Point of the Bayān and whosoever hath believed in
Him, my God, with Tremendousness and Majesty, my God, with Mercy and Excellences
and with Power and Perfection and with Greatness and Majestification and with
Suzerainty and Independence! And I take refuge in God, O God my God, from those who
have not believed in Him with Ascendant Power, the Balanced Justice, with
Indignation, the Equilibrating Scales, with Vanquishment and Torment! And the
blessings of God, O God, be upon the First Name of God and the Last and what is
between Them! And the blessings of God, O God, be upon the Singular Mirror to His
Beloved, Mighty and Tremendous Logos-Self, the Pre-Eternal One, and all of the
Mirrors from First to Last and what is between Them! And the blessings of God, O God,
be upon the One Thou shalt Manifest on the Day of Resurrection and the Letters of His
Logos-Self and the Proofs of His Unicity and whosoever believes in Him! My God by all
of Thy Tremendousness and Thy Mightiness and Thy Power and Thy Triumph and
Thy Reign and Thy Belovedness! And I take refuge in God, O God, against whosever
does not believe in Him, my God, by all that is against him of Thy Vanquishment, Thy
Ascendant Power, Thy Discarding Refusal and Thy Torment! And Peace and Splendor
from Thy Logos-Self and Thy Splendidness be upon all the Divine Messengers, the
Prophets, the sincere, the martyrs/witnesses, the believers and the righteous, the
angels of proximity; and upon us and our fathers and our ancestors and upon all of the
People of the Bayān! O Beloved of the Worlds and O Most Compassionate Mercifier!
Praise be unto God the Lord of the Worlds!
