One whole packet of

chocolates

One whole packet of

Chocolates has

10 bars of chocolates

One bar of chocolate has 100 pieces

of chocolates

One piece of chocolate

One whole packet of chocolate = 10 bars

One bar = 100 pieces of chocolates
One whole packet of chocolates = 10 x 100 = 1000 pieces of chocolates
OR
1 piece of chocolate = One thousandth of whole
= of whole

= 0.001

Equivalence of Decimals

1 bar 1 strip 1 piece

= 1/10 of whole = 1/100 of whole = 1/1000 of whole
∵ 1 bar = 10 strips = 100 pieces

∴ of whole = of whole = of whole

∴ = =
Or
One tenth = 10 hundredths = 100 thousandths
Or
0.1 = 0.10 = 0.100
