CMCP140/150 – Enclosures
Features
• NEMA 4 and NEMA 4X

• Ideal for Proximity Probe Drivers

NEMA 4 and 4X DIN Rail Enclosures can be provided for

housing Proximity Probe Drivers. These enclosures are not
limited to drivers, the enclosures may be used to mount
other Din rail mounted devices such as transmitters. DIN Rail
mounted terminal strips for the intermediate termination of
Accelerometers, RTD’s, TC’s, and other sensors are available.
Customer Support should be contacted for any non-standard
configuration required for an application.

Description
The enclosure covers has a continuous hinge on the long
side of the unit, and are secured to the box with clamps. The
enclosures are available in NEMA 4 painted steel or NEMA Enclosure Dimensions
4X stainless steel to cover most applictioans. All enclosures

Description
The CMCP610 Eddy Probe Calibrator provides a convenient
and precise method of verifying the voltage output vs.
physical gap of an Eddy Probe and Driver system.

Designed for use in the field or shop environment, the

CMCP610 will work with any manufacturer’s 5mm and 8mm
probes and is supplied with probe holders to accommodate Eddy Probe Graph
1/4"-28 and 3/8"-24 thread sizes. Any probe case length will -24

Description
The CMCP801 Eddy Probe Holder is designed for external
mount of proximity probes as described and recommended
by API670. External (through the case) mounting allows for

CMCP4190 – Eddy Probe Mounting Adapter

Description
CMCP offers the CMCP-4190 for probe installations where
the shaft is only a short distance from the bearing housing.
The probe adapter is a 1/2" or 3/4" NPT threaded on either
end for mounting to the housing, and a conduit head. The
CMCP4190 is manufactured from Stainless Steel. The ID
thread is available to fit the 2 common eddy probe thread
sizes. For particularly long probes an optional deep conduit
head is available.

CMCP200 Accelerometer Mounting Pads

Accelerometer Mounting Pads are used for glue (epoxy)
mounting accelerometers to a prepared surface. Mounting
pads are stainless steel and are 1" (2.54cm) in diameter, and
either 1/4"(0.64cm) or 3/8" (0.95cm) thick.
The pads are lapped on one side to provide an ideal
mounting surface for the accelerometer attachment. The
pads are tapped with a 1/4"x28 UNF hole for accelerometer
mounting. The 1/4" thick version is recommended for low
clearance installations or when using the combination
epoxy and stud mounting method. The 3/8" thick version is
recommended for installing ring mode accelerometers.

Description
The CMCP205 Motor Fin Mounts provide a mounting location
for either magnetically mounted or permanently mounted
accelerometers on motors where the bearing housing is not
accessible. The Fin Mounts are machined from 416 SS and
are adhesive mounted between the cooling fins of the motor.

The CMCP205 Fin Mounts are provided in four sizes to

CMCP210 – Acrylic Adhesive Bypacs (continued)

Instructions
Surface Preparation
Remove grease, loose contamination or poorly adhering
oxides from metal surfaces. Normal amounts of mill oils
and drawing compounds usually do not present a problem
in adhesion. Most plastics require a simple cleaning before
bonding. Some may require abrading for best performance.
Mixing
Hand mix or apply with automatic meter/mix/dispense
equipment. Mix resin with the proper amount of accelerator.
Once mixed, the acrylic adhesive cures rapidly.
Application
Apply to substrates and join.
Curing
The cure is completed in 24 hours at room temperature.
The cure rate can be accelerated by applying modest heat.
The surfaces need to be held in contact during the entire
cure period. If heat cured, do not exceed temperatures of
150 °F (66 °C) .
Clean Up
Uncured Adhesive – Clean excess adhesive on the bonded
assembly, as well as mixing and application equipment,
before the adhesive cures. Use hot water and detergent,
or an organic solvent.

Cured Adhesive – Heat the cured adhesive to 400 °F

(204°C) or above to soften the adhesive.

CMCP212 – Silicone Dielectric

CMCP230 – Accelerometer Mounting Studs

Description
Accelerometer mounting studs are used to mount 1/4" thick
STI Mounting Pads directly to the tapped bearing housing
in combination with epoxy. The 3/4" long stud provides the
proper length for mounting the pad to the bearing surface
and in turn the accelerometer to the stud. Allen studs are
made of stainless steel and have 1/4" x 28 UNF threads.
Allen head studs are provided in packs of ten (10).

CMCP280 – API 670 Accelerometer Housing

The CMCP 280 case mount accelerometer housing provides
physical and environmental protection for several sensors
when permanently mounted. Its use is primarily designed for
installations where the accelerometer is prone to damage
from adverse conditions. When properly installed the CMCP
280 meets API 678 standards.

Description
The mounting kit includes a dome cover, a mounting base
with a single 3/4" NPT conduit connection, a neoprene base
gasket, o-ring gasket for the cover, mounting bolts, washers
and one (1) 1/2" NPT reducing bushing. The kit does not
include the accelerometer.

The CMCP 280 will accommodate any sensor that has a

diameter less than 1.25" and an installed height of less
than 4.75".

Description
The CMCP205 Piloted End Mill Aircraft Spot Reamers are
used to mill a 1" (2.54 cm) smooth flat area on bearing
housings. The flat area will accept a stud mounted
accelerometer or a glue (epoxy) mounted with an STI
Accelerometer Mounting Pad. A 7/32" drill, pilot, allen
wrench and end mill are included in each kit. The 7/32"
drilled hole can then be tapped with a 1/4" x 28 UNF starter
and bottom tap for stud mounted accelerometers.

The CMCP601 Rotor Kits simulate the dynamic motion of a

In Turbine Supervisory Instrumentation (TSI), case expansion
is an important measurement. Case expansion (or shell
expansion) is the growth of the machine case with increase of
temperature during machine startup and on-line operations.
