Q.2 Write short answers to any TEN (10) questions. (10 2 = 20)
(i) Find the point three-fifths of the way along the line segment from A(– 5, 8) to B(5, 3).
(ii) The xy-coordinates axis are rotated about the origin through the indicated angle. The new axis
are OX and OY. Find the XY-coordinates of the point P with the given xy-coordinates.

(iv) Transform the general form of linear equation into normal form.

L1 : joining (1, – 7) and (6, – 4) L2 : joining ( – 1, 2) and ( – 6, – 1)
(vi) Find the area of the region bounded by the triangle with vertices (a, b + c), (a, b – c) and (–a , c).
(vii) Find an equation of vertical line through (– 5, 3).
(viii) Find the distance from the point P(6, – 1) to the line 6x – 4y + 9 = 0.
(ix) Find an equation of the line through the point (2, – 9) and the intersection of lines
2x + 5y – 8 = 0 and 3x – 4y – 6 = 0
(x) Show that the points A(0, 2), B( 3, – 1) and C(0 – 2) are vertices of a right triangle.
(xi) Find two straight lines represented by 10x2 – 23xy – 5y2 = 0.
(xii) State the theorem of linear programming.
(xiii) Graph the solution region of the following system of linear inequality.
