MORNING PRAYERS

MONDAY (FEBRUARY 24, 2020)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways
acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. – Proverbs Chapter 5 Verses 5 to 6

Lord our God, we thank you for the trust you have put into our hearts. We thank you for all the
signs of your goodness that comfort us when we are in great need. We thank you for
comforting us, for always giving us fresh courage wherever we may be, and for giving us hope
for other people, who also struggle hard to find what is good.

Dear Lord, help us to remain focused and calm, confident in the facts and in our ability, and firm
in the knowledge that no matter what happens you are with us. This we ask through Jesus
Christ, our Lord. Amen.

WEDNESDAY (FEBRUARY 26, 2020) – ASH WEDNESDAY

By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you
were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return. – Genesis Chapter 3 Verse 19

Heavenly Father, Blessed One, have mercy on us. Lord, as we repent our sins to You. We have
been deficient in Your glory and without your mercy and grace, we would be non-existent.
Father, we repent now. Lord, as we embark onto this Lenten season, be close to us. Help us
Lord, thorough Your Holy Spirit, to believe in what is right and in repentance for our sins. Help
us appreciate both the importance and the joy of this season in our hearts as we move through
the next several weeks. Help us bear the good fruit of Your Spirit.

Heavenly Father, You hold each of us in your loving hands. Come fill our hearts, minds and
bodies afresh with hope. Lord, watch over us all, keep us safe within your Almighty hand. This
we ask through Christ our Lord, and St. John the Evangelist our patron saint. Amen.
THURSDAY (FEBRUARY 27, 2020)

Come, Holy Spirit, Divine Creator, true source of light and fountain of wisdom. Grant us a
penetrating mind to understand, a retentive memory, method and ease in learning, the lucidity
to comprehend, and abundant grace in expressing myself. Guide the beginning of our work,
direct its progress, and bring it to successful completion.

Dear Lord, as we take our PASS Post-test, bring back to our minds everything we studied and be
gracious with what we have overlooked. Help us to cast our worries upon you, so that we can
answer our examinations today.

This we ask through Jesus Christ, true God, living and reigning with You and the Father, forever
and ever. Amen.

FRIDAY (FEBRUARY 28, 2020)

I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. – Philippians Chapter 4 Verse 13

Lord our God, we come before You to receive what we need as your children who cannot find
help and guidance on our own, but only through your Spirit. Enlighten us your Word, which You
alone can give.

Dear Lord and Father of all, thank you for today. Thank you for ways in which you provide for us
all. Help us to focus our hearts and minds now on what we are about to learn. Inspire us by
Your Holy Spirit as we listen and write. These we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord, and St. John
the Evangelist our patron saint. Amen.
