Write a reflection of 500 words in relation to the question: What does it means to be a Pacific Islander today and in the future to
you? You can get inspiration from the readings we have provided in week 1 and 2, but it is important that you answer the question
in your own words. The matrix that we will use to mark your reflection is presented below. Please read the matrix carefully and use
it as a guide to know what we are looking for in the reflection.
In week 14 we want you to revisit your Reflection I, reflect on it and write your Reflection II (500 words) based on the same question
and what you have learned during your journey in UU204.
Why reflect?
In UU204 we value the contribution of oral histories as well as your ability to reflect upon and analyze course topics and material.
Reflection is a powerful way to critique the literature you have read or the video's you have watched by incorporating personal
accounts, oral history and your opinion. Do you agree with the arguments made? Does the literature or video give an accurate
picture of the situation? What would be a good alternative? Can you relate to the topic? Why do you, or why not? The majority of
assessments have reflective elements.
