GLOBALIZATION AND SOCIETY

Globalization is the process of interaction and integration among people,


companies, and government worldwide as a complex and multifaceted phenomenon, globalization
is considered by some as a form of capitalist expansion which entails the integration of local and
national economies in to a global, unregulated market economy. Globalization has grown due to
advances in transportation and communication technology .With the increased global interaction
comes the growth of international trade, ideas and culture.

There is a relationship between globalization and social science. Globalization make


impact in the society. In different sense globalization influences society.

TWO DIMENSIONS OF GLOBALIZATION

There are many important dimensions to globalization ,not the least of which include those
relating to the environment the persistence of nation States and global democracy and its
discontents .I want to highlight two others.

 The integration of technology in the operations of transactional corporations and its effects
 Increases in social inequality at both national and global levels

TECHNOLOGICAL GLOBALIZATION

Technological developments are conceived as the main facilitator and driving force of most
of the globalization process. Before elaborating on the consequences of several technological
developments in global and capitalist management that involve the use of technology to manage
the affairs of global economy .The result have been not only that people have been bought deeper
within the orbit of a global capitalist economy but western culture has permanently changed other
cultures causing a concern among some who perceive the increasing.

 SOCIETY

Globalization the basic economic sense refers to the operation of open and unfettered trading
market. Large volume of money moment, increase the volume of trade, changes in information
technology and communication are all integral part of global world. There is also a significant
movement of people from one country to another for trade and work. Such increases in the moment
of goods and labor and services how national barriers and restrictions that are imposed by a nation
state weekend.

 EOLCONOMIC GLOBALIZATION

Economic globalization is the increasing and economic interdependence of national economies


across the world through a rapid increase in cross broader moment of goods services technology
and the capital. Whereas the globalization of business is centered on the diminution of international
trade regulation as well as tariff Texas and other impediments that suppress the global trade
economic globalization is the process of increasing economic integration between countries
leading to the emergence of a global marketplace or a single world market. Current globalization
trends can be largely accounted for by developed economies integrated with the less developed
economies by means of FDI.

 CULTURAL GLOBALIZATION

Cultural globalization refers to the transmission of ideas meanings and values around the world in
such a way as to extend and identify social relations. The circulation of cultures enable individuals
to take in extend social relations that cross national and regional borders. Cultural globalization
involves the formation of shared norms and knowledge with which people associated their
individual and collective cultural identity. It brings increasing interconnectedness among different
populations and culture.

 POLITICAL GLOBALIZATION

Political globalization refers to the growth of worldwide political system both in size and
complexity. That system in loads national governments their governmental and inter-governmental
As well as government in their dependent element of global civil society such as international non-
governmental organizations and social moment organizations. One of the key aspects of political
globalization is the importance of the nation state and the rise of other actors on the political sense.
Globalization is a term used to describe how trade and technology have made the world into
a more connected and interconnected place. Globalization also captures in its scope and economic
and social changes that have come about as a result. It may be pictured as the all fine immense
spider web formed over millions, so globalization has positive and negative effects in the society.
It influences economical political cultural and technological areas of his society. These areas are
the main sectors of the society. So the changes happens in these are affect the society as a whole.
Globalization provided more efficient market in increased technology, new ideas, concept product
etc. all these leads to the development of the country. But at the same time globalization created
some negative effects also. it influences the culture of society tradition and customs etc. .It
adversely affected the less developed countries. We can conclude that globalization has a large
impact on society.
