Thanks
When the Reading Room was brought back from terminal decline we needed help with things like wiring, flooring, painting, blinds, joinery, roofing, seating, heavy lifting, fundraising and the stove. Thanks for all their work to Alistair Barker, Anne Taylor, David Hall, Geoff Hutchinson, Janet Hayton, John and Anne Creighton, John Marsden, Richard Hardisty, Roy and John Milestone.

2011 is destined to be an historic year not just for royal marriages but for the 100th anniversary of the Appleton Reading Room.
We are planning events to celebrate this great occasion including themed films, some shown using our 16mm projector and an open day for people to explore the entire room and it’s grounds. In addition to alerting you to this landmark occasion this leaflet has been produced to say a big thank you to all those who have given their time and expertise to renovating and maintaining the Reading Room for public use. We hope to raise money this year and commission the work needed to ensure the Room’s survival for another 100 years.

Leaving the room
Please leave the room tidy.

Our funders
Thanks to the organisations that have funded us including the North York Moors National Park, BFFS and UK Film Council.

Loo
There is no loo at the Reading Room, please let us know if you want us to arrange use of the village hall facilities.

Finally
Thanks to anyone that we’ve missed out!
