1 INTRODUCTION
For your convenience, the Alarm Element Management 3 (AEM 3.x) software has been pre-installed and
configured on your new server.
A default IP Address 192.168.1.100 is set on the first Ethernet network port. It is likely that you will need
to change the default set IP address to a one suitable for your local network (consult your local IT staff if
necessary to get a static IP address allocated).
Using the default access values given is section 2, follow the procedures on the following pages to change
the AEM server IP address in all the required places.

2 DEFAULT ACCESS VALUES


NOTE: User Name and Password values are case sensitive.

Server Login details User Name: Administrator


Password: Cobham1
SQL database password Password: Cobham1
(This will only be required for AEM upgrades or for advanced
configuration changes.)
AEM 3.x Login details Username: admin
Password: admin

To launch the AEM 3 Client:


1. Launch a standard web browser.
2. Enter the AEM3 server IP address in the address bar (e.g. http://192.168.1.100).
3. Enter the AEM3 login details:
• User Name admin
• Password admin

3 CHANGING THE IP ADDRESSES

3.1 Changing the Network Interface IP Address


To change the network interface IP Address
1. In the Start Menu, Control Panel, open Network and Sharing Center and in the left pane, click
Change adapter settings.
2. Right-click on Local Area Connection and select Properties.

3. Select the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) row and click the Properties button.

4. In the Properties dialog, modify the values of the following parameters according to your network
requirements: IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and DNS Server IP addresses.

5. Click OK and then OK again to save and exit.

3.2 Changing the AEM3 IP Address


To change the AEM3 IP Address
1. In the Start Menu, select All Programs, Cobham Wireless, AEM 3, System Tools and Server
Configuration.
2. Click the Database tab and update the IP address to the new setting:

3. Select the Communication tab and update the IP address to the new setting:

4. Click Apply to save the new settings and use the top-right corner X to close the tool.

5. In the Start Menu, select All Programs, Cobham Wireless, AEM 3, Communication Transceivers
and SNMP Transceiver Configuration Tool.
6. On the Server Connectivity tab, update the IP address to the new setting.

7. Click Apply to save the new settings and then use the X to close the tool.
8. In the Start Menu, select All Programs, Cobham Wireless, AEM 3, GUI Server, GUI Server
Configuration.
9. On the Server Connectivity tab, update the IP address to the new setting.

10. Click Apply to save the new settings and then use the X to close the tool.
11. RESTART the Server to synchronise all the changes.
