SYNOPSIS
Having experienced in both the historic and the latest technology for over a period
of 20 years in the Royal Navy of Oman as a Marine Mechanic, and for a period of
11 years in the International Maritime College of Oman (IMCO) as an instructor
in Marine Engineering department I have always found myself in an environment
of dynamic challenges and technological evolutions which has not only helped me
grow as an individual over the years but also through my experience helped me to
contribute to the institute/organization I worked for

MECHANICAL INSTRUCTOR, INTERNATIONAL MARITIME COLLEGE

RESPONSIBIL FOR CONDUCT PRACTICAL CLASSES


 Preparing comprehensive practical ‘lesson plans’ based on the updated
curriculum
 Conducting mentioned Practical Classes for Engineering Students in
workshop with all safety measures. (Machine Shop-1 & 2) (Fault
Finding & Repair)
 Carryout training for refresher on High voltage simulator & Flange
Tree.
 Provide extensive safety training like AFF, SCRB, BFF, Survival
Technique
 Develop short courses for the part-time students of Industries.

RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTENANCE OF PRACTICAL SUPPORTING

 To title any emergency repairing to avoid delay of practical scheduled
classes.
 Performing Scheduled overhauling, repairing of machines &
maintaining a logbook.
 Coordinating the installation of new machinery and equipment in
workshop.
 Coordinating activities with regulatory bodies in order to ensure
repairs and alterations are at minimum cost, consistent with safe.
 Managing stock levels (e.g. materials, fixings and tooling) and records
of engineering department activities, including expense records and
details of equipment maintenance and repairs.

MARINE ENGINEER, ROYAL NAVY OMAN (RNO)

RNO, Hydro (Training Unit) December 2001- till 2009 as a (Chief


Maintenance Engineer) Responsible for the Maintenance and repair work of
all survey and Navigational appliances like, GPS, Compass, Gyro and
Sextant. Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work of supporting
equipment also.

Hydrographic Survey Launch (HSL) Oct 96 to Dec 2001- Worked as Boat


Engineer
Responsible to provide maximum technical support for survey team and
trainees during task. Regularly maintenance work carried out of boat
auxiliary machinery and equipment.

Fast Patrolling Boat(B-12) AL-BATINAH: February 93 to March 95


Fast Patrolling Boat(B-12) AL- MUSSANDAM: Nov 89 to April 92- with
responsibility as an In-charge of entire watch, perform duties in operation of
propulsion machinery main engines and generator set.

Out Board Motor Section(OBM): April 92 till Feb 93. Maintenance and
rectification work on Out Board Motors, Like Yamaha, Mariner. 5HP-
200HP.

Fleet Maintenance Team(FMF) November 1988-November 1989, during


the retro fitment at the Royal Navy of Oman’s Vessels as a Marine Engineer
