Structural Catalogues & Specifications

Structural profiles, fittings and joints are all catalogue elements in AVEVA products.
This training guide explains how to create the catalogue components and
specifications in AVEVA Catalogue, so that they may be accessed in the Model module
of AVEVA Everything3D (AVEVA E3D) for each component type.

Aim

The aim of this training guide is to provide knowledge and skills that will enable
designers to create, modify, and manage structural catalogues and specifications.

Objectives

 Introduce the General Principles of Structural Cats & Specs.

 Create Structural Profiles and specifications for them.

 Create Section fittings and specifications for them.

 Create Panel fittings and specifications for them.

 Create joints and specification for them.

 Create Fittings for Hole Management.

Prerequisites

Trainees should have completed the AVEVA E3D Structural Modelling training course
and have experience in designing structures using AVEVA E3D.

Course Structure

Training will consist of oral and visual presentations, demonstrations and set
exercises. Each workstation will have a training project, populated with model
objects. This will be used by the trainees to practice their methods, and complete
the set exercises.
