BALANCE Balance is the concept of visual equilibrium, and relates to our physical sense of balance.
It is a reconciliation of opposing forces in a composition that results in visual stability.
HIERARCHY Where does the eye look first? Second? Hierarchy is when an element appears more
important in comparison to other elements in a design. This can often be done with
size, shape, and placement.
SCALE/PROPORTION
Proportion is the feeling of unity created
when all parts (sizes, amount, or number)
relate well with each other.
DOMINANCE
The dominance, or focal point is the center of the action. The three
primary tools the designer uses to emphasize dominance are contrast,
placement and isolation.
